surprised tabasco isn't in on this maybe he could buy a couple sets to have on stock?!?! or at least to drive the price down
100 bucks is a bit much for a couple decals 75$ might be a sweet spot and the new 14 tenere did change body panels so its not like it be only for a 2 year bike only they doo make a bike look like it should ::022::

$100.00 does seems high but last week we didn't have any choices now did we!! ::024::
Wasp won't even sell his Templates and he has long since faded away since parting with the Tenere.
So if some graphic designer can pull it off I am up for it just not at this moment.
But I am glad we have folks who can offer them again. ::008::

There is also this option through Yamaha Canada. I have seen it listed in yellow, on another site so it must also be available. Might want to try this part number locally and see if they can get them. Price & part number listed under specifications.
I have the Wasp set in black and they suit the bike and have stood up well. It would be nice to have something like them available again.

At this point there's no set price, I said $100.00 because that's what I paid - could be a little less - this is just a discovery phase to try and gauge interest before I start having my friend do legwork.
He can do the design, that's not an issue at all, and I'm sure we can come up with some cool bonus stickers on the print. He came over Sunday and took a detailed look at the quality of the stickers, and the colors that would be involved to reach out to his printer contacts to get a general idea of the price to do the printing.
As an aside, he rides a Street Triple that he's turning into a beautiful machine step-by-step by removing stickers, blacking out parts, and simplifying the overall look of the bike. He thought I was nuts a year ago when I showed him the stickers I was going to put on the bike. After I applied them he has commented many times how the stickers really suit the bike, and make it look like it should. This is a major compliment from a guy who who is definitely NOT into Bold New Graphics.
He works full-time as Swisher International's Art Director so he's a busy guy, and if it goes, it will be a side project for him so not a huge top-priority. He'll get it done, but I just want everyone to understand it may take a little time.
Someone commented above that the '14 Tenere has different body work...I was unaware that Yamaha had changed the basic lines of the bike...can anyone verify this?
I will post up here as I have more information. I believe there's enough interest to make it worthwhile depending on the printing cost. I refuse to skimp on quality in that respect considering we are applying these things to $14,000 motorcycles...

May have some movement on this shortly - not in the original direction I thought - but if it pans out availability would happen a lot quicker than my original plan...

I have the WASP decals and love them! The only thing I would prefer is that they didn't say Tenere inside them. Because if you leave the factory decal above them (or these texas tenere decals too) you have "tenere" twice. Right on top of each other. It looks kind of cluttered, or repetitive. Besides, this is a SUPER tenere anyways.

I was chatting with Jaxon at Ride On ADV when I was ordering a light switch from him about a bunch-of-stuff Tenere, and the stickers came up in conversation.
I told him, like I said in my original post, that I had no real interest in (nor time for) getting into the sticker business, but kept seeing people ask about them here and I would like a spare set for myself if something ever happened to mine.
He asked if I would mind him looking into it with his resources to see if he could possibly get it done. I said, "Absolutely!"
So, he should be along shortly here to fill you guys in on the specifics. I've purchased from Jaxon a couple of times and he's spent a lot if time educating me on suspension and electrical stuff even when I wasn't buying anything from him.
So he's done the real legwork on this thing and I can't wait to order my backup Yellow set.
