I finally got around to weighing the stock slip-on. It weighs 14.5 pounds and the Delkevic weighs 4.25 pounds. That is 10 pounds weight savings.

Here is some installation advice. The further back you place the strap, the higher the output will be. This will become immediately apparent when you start final assembly. On mine, the rear edge of the strap is 8" from the back edge of the can. My plan was to experiment but when I started it, and heard that nice growl, I said f___k it and went for a ride. ::26:: I think we can go shorter (raising can) without melting the turn signals but have not bothered. With my setup, the angle is different than the stock can. This might look strange if this were not the stubby can and extended far beyond the shield.

It looks so nice! I wish I got home earlier so I could install it!

I did mine, it matches the heat shield, letting it run for a bit the turn signal got a little warm, but it looks good. I'm going to check it after a couple of miles on the expressway, with my bag on to make sure.
I only got to ride a few minutes because I worked too many hours, too tired! drove the truck home today. Back at it in a few hours!

And now I guess I realised I should have put the strap back instead of forward. Hmm, maybe I'll fix it.

How do you like the sound? As of yet, I've not tried mine with the insert removed. I bet it is LOUD.

I've only ridden it around the parking lot. Left it at work again. Tired and riding is bad. Lol

I like the sound, I think. I'll see what happens tomorrow when I ride home. It seems pretty throaty at larger throttle openings. But not too bad.

Here is a video of the pipe with the insert removed. It was not as loud as anticipated.

Well, if you aim it far enough up, it can melt stuff. My turn signals were already coming off for a custom integrated light I am making. But yeah. I fried one! :) aim it lower, and it's fine.

First ride today after installing my pipe a couple weeks ago. When mounting I had a hell of a time getting the strap to go either forward or back. in fact, I had to pry up on the muffler with my arm just to get the strap bolt to go in ::010::
Perhaps the mid pipe wasnt bent incorrectly - but there was no way to point it other than at the signal and hope for the best

edit: after closely comparing two of the above pics, I'm going to put it back on the lift and have a looksee. seems I might have missed an adjustment

The bracket adds a significant amount of adjustment.

The little drop bracket wasn't in my packaging. I just went thru it again and nothing. So that explains the difference

Does anyone have a link for the 14" Stubby? I can't seem to find one anywhere. Thanks in advance
I actually spoke to Delkevic Uk yesterday about getting a 350mm stubby can, they no longer have it on their site or the French site, they suggested I look into getting the kit 'KIT 31CJ' which would get me the 350 can (14") and the link pipe with fittings............. BTW the end can is just a generic can to fit all bikes, it's the link pipe and hanging bracket that make it bike specific.
