Hi, i ask the deler to install Cyclop Headlight, How do you guy install the back cap (provided by cyclop)?? Do i need to drill some holes for all those wire?
The dealer installed for me, he put the blub in place, then leave the adaptor hanging, but he seem to make some holes on the cap, crack it a bit so that the wire can come out. I rode it back and the cover gone T_T.. Now where can i get a new back cover?? // and how you guys install it.

Thank you

takes some patience to stuff all the stuff in the headlight cavity but everything will fit .... then cap screws on just like the regular cap. …. the cyclops will last (my first set , after a year had one fail , the other still going strong . new replacement is better ) and at 75.00 a bulb is brighter and longer lasting than the 2 or 3 sets a year of regular bulbs I was replacing .

It sounds like your dealer didn't follow the installation instructions well. As Madhatter said, everything fits inside the headlight assembly. The caps just rotate to lock in place. If you use too much force, you can strip off the locking tabs. It's a bayonet style like some camera lenes, you just need to find the correct alignment when you insert the cap so that it sits flat, then rotate clockwise to lock the cap in place.

When you get replacement cap(s), they will not come with O-rings. You should have very little trouble finding large O-rings at a hardware store or commercial tool supply house. No need to order the Yamaha one from the dealer, (which will usually cost much more).

If you feel you are having too much difficulty getting the wires and ballast inside the headlight assembly, it's quite simple to remove the entire headlight assembly from the bike. Then you can work on a bench or table to fit the bits as needed.

The O-rings fit to the caps. I don't know if Cyclops replacement caps come with O-rings or not. If you buy caps from Deftoner on this forum, (link above in STenitus post), they will not come with O-rings. I have Deftoner caps and they work/fit very well.

On size, I just took the Yamaha one to the store and found a close match. Farm supply stores will also often have them.

If the dealer gave you back your original caps, they may have O-rings on them that you can re-use on the new cap. One O-ring per cap.

Did you also give the dealer the instructions that came with the Cyclops kit ? If you did it’s pretty obvious they didn’t read them. You definitely don’t want any extra holes put in those caps, they will let water and dirt get inside and you definitely don’t want that happening.
everyone reports great results ordering the large caps from board member deftoner , if the O rings are difficult to get in Bangkok maybe you could also get those from deftoner.

The cyclops caps I got didn't fit tight from the start. The shape of the locking tabs didn't look very sharp and the notches were off a little. They never felt like they were locking in place. One of them fell off when I was pulling up to a pump. It hung up and locked my steering. Almost hit a gas pump. I had to dremel a little plastic off the headlight assembly to get that damn ballast in one side. Got some more from deftoner. They are way better. My stock ones fit tighter than both of them though.

Also how to put the driver into the headlight socket? Thank you
I chose to use LEDs w/o that big driver box, but it looks like you may need to put the driver box into the headlight first, then insert the bulb assembly.
