I've been tested 5 times with the 15 minute quick test,
Negative every time.
My Mom is in an assisted living facility and I have 7 grandkids so I been getting tested after I have been on DS rides, MC camping trips and other activities where there were other people I did not know.

My kid got tested yesterday, because his boss tested positive. (He initially said he was positive) Waiting for results. He said the test was horrible. They stick a q-tip w a a a a y up your nose, and count to five. . . . twice; once in each nostril. He said it felt like they stabbed his brain. So, hey, good luck. Seriously. . . . good luck. Hope all goes well.

I was talking about this today with a friend. If the droplets from asymptomatic people were carrying such significant virus load why is the PCR test so invasive then? Swab up the nose. Just spitting on it should be enough to trace the virus. Just a thought.

They can test your saliva for the virus, but the test wasn't given FDA emergency approval until April. It doesn't surprise me that this test isn't yet commonly available, as in some areas (like the county I live in) even the PCR test isn't available for testing unless you're already exhibiting some sort of symptoms.

Swab up the nose is not so bad. I had a swab over 10 inches shoved up my penis hole before leaving the Philippines. It wasn't quite long enough. And then there was the square needle in the left nut vaccination before shipping out overseas......

I'm going in for mine in a few days. Did you also get a EKG test as well?

My wife and I weren't feeling well a month ago so we got tested together.... worst date night idea ever!!!!

We both had negative results, so at least that was good

My covid test went very smooth today. Nothing more than a finger prick and wait 10 minutes for the results.

I never had one and don't anticipate ever getting one, but how much margin of error is there on the test I wonder? I've read that as many as 25% of positive results are incorrectly diagnosed as negative, and 25% of negative tests were actually incorrectly diagnosed as positive. If this is true, no reason to bother getting a test.
The crap will never end though either way whether you get tested 125 times a year or never. We are stuck with this forever. Sad times. I'm glad I'm 60. Can't imagine how horrible it would be to be 10yrs old and having to look forward to 55 or 65yrs of this.

I honestly have no idea how accurate the tests are Ron. Mine was a pre surgery requirement along with a full panel blood test and EKG.

If it was a month ago and you’ve recovered the Covid test should be negative if that’s what you had. Only the antibody blood test can show if you had it or not.
