Those plugs are looking good. I just installed a set of NGK Iridiums in mine and could not be happier. I have been running either NGK Iridium or platinum in all my vehicles for years.

Just curious, the CPR8EIX-9 in the US also referred to as the 95134 both interchangeable from NGK do not come with the removable screw terminal. Getting some are a pain as well. Did you all anticipate that when you switched to ix how did you work this out?

Did yours come with screw terminals?

NGK did not create the cpr8 IX for the S10. surely they designed it for another engine with "less" vibrations, that is why it comes from the factory with a threaded terminal. Just look for a repair shop, ask for 4 discarded spark plugs .... take out the terminal, and use Loctite

Yeah I am not going to go bug any repair shops ordered them online just sucks I have to wait around a week. Wouldn't the Loctite interfere with the electrical connection between the terminal nut and the threaded stud? Have you performed this exact procedure?

The truth, I doubt that it will unscrew. you're right, putting a fixative glue on the thread could interfere with the electrical connection. The terminals that I put, are drilled in the tip, so I screwed them on well, and I put glue on the tip… .but I very much doubt that it will unscrew just by vibrating. you could also get a drilled.connector, place it on the spark plug and solder it with tin

I've been looking for terminals (ordered the plugs from japansparkplugs.com - I believe that's the place) but didn't order the terminals. Since then, I've been looking everywhere. I BELIEVE they are NGK 145-48, but that is in no way "official".

If anyone has any elegant suggestions on where to find just the terminals, I'm all ears (well, not ALL ears...but mostly ears??)

check if you have old spark plugs with screwed terminal, or in any mechanical workshop that have worn spark plugs... ready to be thrown in the trash.... the thread is standard in all

Before I would pay that much just go to any auto parts store. There are plenty of NGK plugs that come with a removable terminal nut and only $2-$3 each.

Is that each? I didn’t even have time to look. I thought that might be a sack of 5-10. $6 each is stupid.

I called NGK this morning. Apparently they don't carry them but they provided a Denso part number: 067606-0051 and recommended sparkplugs.com where they have 28930 of them in stock (apparently it's more common than I would have expected) where they are $0.50 / each. The shipping was $6.00, but at least they are on their way.

NGK also quoted me the CPR8EAIX-9 as the iridium plug (which I believe has been mentioned a lot on here). I mention that only because I just checked and sparkplugs.com does NOT have the platinum plug (CPR8EAGP-9) but they do have 323 of the iridium plugs in stock at $8.45 / each which might make this a viable option for everyone so inclined, especially compared to what I paid from overseas for platinum plugs.

(And you can add on the terminal nuts at the same time! What a deal! o_O)

I had ordered the Iridium plugs a while back, installed them right before I sold my bike. I didn't realize they didn't have the terminal nuts, but that wasn't too difficult to find. Ordered from the sparkplugs.com site. Bike ran great afterwards, seemed better but it always does with new plugs and valves adjusted properly.
