Comming to Virginia & West Virginia

Last week of June a buddy on a 650 V-Strom and myself are heading east from Indiana. Right now we plan to Ride the Midland Trail in West Virginia and maybe the Crooked Road Trail in Virginia. I have been to these states before on a bike. Cass /Marlington area in West Virginia and the The Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. Looking for some new areas to ride while in the area.

Any where by the Mt Rogers are some nice twisty roads.

Just a little NE of Elkins is Rt72. Best between Canaan Valley and Rt 219. Highly recommend it.

If you're going to be near Cass make a run up to the top of Snowshoe. Spectacular views from up there.

If you get down to the southern part of Virginia, Hwy 58 from Volney to Damascus is a great road and will get you close to "The Snake" Hwy 421 between Mountain City and Shady Valley TN.

Scooper, the Midland Trail passes w/in a half mile of my place. I am off from work that week and know a road or two in the area if you gents would like a guided tour. It would be my pleasure to show y'all around for a day and/or talk suggested routes over maps. ::26::

Thank you all. I am going to get some maps and highlight all the suggestions. We plan to wing it so if the weather turns bad we could end up someplace completely different but my bud invited me to ride with him to Virginia and was receptive to the Midland trail so that's a start.

Have fun,their really are few bad roads in WV, In VA keep an eye out for the Po-po,they're not very tolerant,DAMHIK.
