This was the last "All-Day" ride I took before the snow started to fly here.

I had previously ridden parts (most) of section-4, but wanted to ride at least a whole section this time. I had actually intended to ride both 5 and 6, but misjudged how quickly the daylight disappears this late in the season. I will have to re-visit 6 some other time.

I had some fun with the GoPro, and tried some different stuff.

This was my ride-route for the day. 457 total miles.
The BDR section is the part between the red X's. I measured it at 132-miles.

This is probably where this section officially starts, where Trail Gulch Road splits off from the Mine-road.
I had perfectly dry weather.
You would NOT want to ride this section of road if it was wet..............

Some old abandoned iron, rusting in a field.
By the looks of what was left, it probably used to be a delivery-van.

The "Sunset Limited" passed by as I headed up the hill from Radium CO.

Lots of Rolling-Hills and Open-Range out here.

This Bridge is symbolic of the Official end of Section-5.

Since it was getting too late in the day to run section-6, I took a little break and hiked down to Fish-Creek Falls.

Then I headed home over Rabbit-Ears Pass, and back to Denver.

I tried to move it, but it was anchored at the big-end.

I like the water crossing by the rock creek stage station. Good camping in that area.

Have ridden the CO BDR a couple of times on my CRF450X and love it, should try it on my Super Tenere as there isn't anything that hard on it (in good weather!!). It sure looks pretty this time of year.

Wow looks like an excellent day ride on a Tenere or a Goldwing !
There would be a few spots where one would struggle on a Goldwing, but probably 80% of that section could be ridden on a street-bike.
Sections 5 and 6 are the easiest ones.
I felt it was really easy on the Tenere.

Looks like a Very enjoyable ride, before I got a Tenere my Goldwing went on lots of dirt roads and thankfully it never significantly hurt anything, these days I prefer the Tenere for that kind of stuff simply because that’s what it’s designed for.

I'm right there with you..................I have taken my FJ1200 places where most people would never dare take a street-bike.
It doesn't get nearly the amount of that kind of use as it used to, and these days I take it out when I know I'm planning on a pavement-ride.
I love the Tenere for any and all the off-pavement stuff, and even love it for pavement touring.
She just makes me smile!
