Hi new member but long time reader of this forum and just registered for help on my stock 2012 S10 with 27,000 miles
I'm getting a code 60 and no start condition cranks but wont run.
This happened after changing out the CCT for the updated unit. I did not start the bike prior but it ran well 2 weeks ago.
I have a factory service manual and have read and tested.
1. Good fuse and power to ETV.
2. continuity tested ecu plug to and from servo motor wires measures 183 ohm on red/blk wire, .4 ohm on gry/grn wire
3. with key on I have 2.1 +/- volts at red/blk wire
4. tested servo motor with 3.1volts of Duracell power and the throttle blades open.
5. with key on I hear a high pitched whine at servo motor?
6. anyone know how the servo motor grounds? I believe its through the ecu?
I'm now at a loss as to what to check next and would appreciate any help.

I have no experience with your specific problem but i'd be curious about the 183 ohm reading. I'd expect the resistance to be less than 1ohm. Maybe repeat the test & wiggle the harness to see if it changes. Troubleshooting that code in my FJR manual shows powering the servo & swapping the polarity to open & close the throttle plates.

Thanks for the reply. I to questioned that ohm reading and used to different fluke meters.
I did reverse polarity on the servo motor with my 3 volt test batteries and they open then close with the spring tension and when polarity is reversed they close slightly.
Tomorrow with fresh eyes I'll try again.

Update: I found my mistake. I plugged the #4 coil plug into the servo motor they are the same plug. Bike runs fine and no more cam chain rattle on start up. Lesson learned never work tired and fatigued on your bike. and always trust the manual.

Yup, I did the exact same mistake the first time I checked the valve clearances. one of the connectors (I think the one for the coil) has a white band around it to differentiate it from the throttle body connector and match the other coil connectors. I failed to notice that initially.
