Well I waved my S10 off last night, did not ride it enough to justify it collecting dust.
I may pick up another one later in life, I may get a small toy CRF250Rally or scooter and the wife is not best pleased I sold it.
Hopefully the new owner will join this great group, he is based in Oslo, Norway, flew in and rode out.
As for the forum and it's members, it's been great, even with a few disagreements along the way. It's been educational for me to learn about the bike from lots of very seasoned riders. I'd like to thank Checkwreck and the other moderators for their hardwork, RCinNC for his handy work that inspired me to follow suit and EricV for his input on anything mechanical, amongst others that I failed to mention, sorry for that.
I will pop in every now and again, but for me right now I am too pre-occupied with being around my two girls and wanting to be around them, 'cos as soon as the teens hit I'll not be wanted.
For anyone heading this way, you would be most welcome to stop by for coffee/lunch or zwergi............

Thank again to all, be safe and ride carefully.

....And yes, you will be back when your girls is moving from home ;)
Not necessarily. If he get's THEM hooked on bikes, then they will still need him. My boys have their own bikes, and have moved out, but we still ride together.

Wow, Dogdaze, I greet that news with some sadness. Seems like I've been talking to you in here as long as I've been here, and I'll miss your input. I definitely understand other things taking precedence in life; I find myself dropping out of some other forums I belong to.

I'll send you off with a look at two projects currently on the workbench:

These are a couple of placards I'm making to attach to the sides of my panniers. I engraved the map of the United States on a couple pieces of .090 ABS sheet with an Olfa cutting knife, and then hand painted in the states I've ridden with Testors model paint. I'm just waiting for the acrylic clear coat to dry so I can mount them.

This is a weatherproof box I'm making for my GPS unit. It's my second attempt; I made one years ago, didn't like it, and scrapped it. This one will be better.

Enjoy the family, friend. We'll keep the light on.

Wow, we all leave eventually, but what a surprise and loss to see you move on. Even with such good reasons to do so.
Do stop back now & then. I wish you well and the open door in the DC area remains.

As CW said, do swing by now and then if it suits you. Thank you for adding your experience and calm wit to the forum. Not to mention the unique perspective your dual citizenship offers. You'll be missed.

Sure.
But there will still be more time.
Now it is kind of like "work, housekeeping, girls, sleep". And when the girls move out, "work, housekeeping,???, sleep"

The short time (relative) I've been on this forum, I've gained a lot knowledge from your posts. Thank you and if the Tenere has to do anything with it, we will see you back soon. Till we meet again!
