A 14.5 is just slightly stiffer than the stock 12.5. 14.5 is good for a 130lb rider (without gear) and street.

It important to understand if the spring wanted is for an ES or standard? The bikes have different linkage geometries and use different spring rates.

Waste of money, not near stiff enough.
Minumum 16.0N, 16.3kg/mm, 914lb spring to see a real benefit.
If you travel a lot with a passenger I would be looking for at least a 18.0N (1028lb/inch)

Also if fitting to a stock shock spring length is very important. Stock spring is too short and does not have enough installed preload when on the minimum setting. You want a spring that is at least 5mm, preferably 8-10mm longer than stock spring. This way at the minimum setting you can get a decent sag number solo and still have some adjustment left with the stock preload adjuster when loaded up or carrying as passenger. If I remember correctly stock spring is 210mm. Look for a 220mm length spring in the correct rate.

For reference I am 215lb and run a 17.0N solo.
Here is a link to a page with a spring rate conversion chart.
