Just picked it up this last Saturday! Only change so far is a Givi 46 Liter box on the back. Rides great but takes getting used to compared to my 2006 Roadliner. Love the cornering clearance and is so responsive that I need to learn to relax when riding or I rabbit around the lane.
It's taking me a while to adapt to my new 2018 ES as well.
I have approximately 2,300 kilometres on my bike.
I rode an Africa Twin for two years and 30,000 kilometres and it took a while to adjust to. These are tall heavy bikes and be very careful not to stall the engine in tight manoeuvres or down she will go.
The Tenere is a great highway bike, and for some an great off roader. I'll stick to the highways with the odd bit of gravel in the mix.
Ride safely and always wear your gear.

Congratulations. I imagine that IS quite the switch from the Roadliner. You'll really appreciate that responsiveness when the road gets twisty. You'll be surprised how well she does at being a sport bike.

The Roadliner is a big and POWERFUL bike, so how does the small 1200cc S10 compare in power and acceleration on the road?

I'm looking to buy a new S10 right now but the things must be made of GOLD with the high prices in my area, compared to the African twin or the DL1000 V-Strom, which are under consideration too.

Congratulations!

Sam:)

Tenere = better cruising bike
Africa Twin = better off road machine
Both are excellent choices, depending on what your intended purpose is.

The Roadliner will pull your ears off if not firmly attached!! Miss the power but its 4 gallon tank was a bit of a pain and no cruise control as well. Though I did put a throttlemeister on it. The super ten has more than enough power for me. Once the break in is done that is!

Congratulations! I came from a Roadstar and as much as I loved it. The Super Tenere is a much more comfortable touring bike with a dirt road component. You will love it.
