I removed my hyperlites from my fjr and was wanting to put them on the tenere. Does anyone know what wiring to tap into for the brake lights right off? Just got the bike yesterday so I havent taken the back seat off yet. I spent the day changing the engine and shaft oils, bleeding the brakes and removing and lubing the pivot points on the brake and clutch levers. Tomorrow will be changing the coolant and hopefully installing the hyperlites.

Disregard. I figured it out. For anyone else looking, remove the rear seat and plate under it. On the left side, their is a wiring harness with a blue, black and yellow wire in it. Thats the 3 you need to tap into.

Thanks for sharing, can you or other Tenere riders please give me additional details.
I have installed an LED red light just below the brake lights. My goal is to have these additional lights illuminate when I apply the rear brake pedal.
The addition light has three wires.
A red, black, and a white wire.
White is labelled as the ground.
The white and the black cause the lights to fire. The white and the red cause the lights to illuminate, but faintly.
Hmmm...need some advice here.
Thnx in advance.

Red & black together as +.to brake light wire.
White -as grond.thats for strong brake light
If you need tail light a lone .red to tail light wire.
And black to brake wire.
Hope thats a good explanation.

Actually, I have the wires figured out...I just need to know how/where to access the bike's tail light wiring, or in a perfect world have the addional LED light illuminate when either brake is applied.
What parts do I have to remove to access the bike's brake light power? Hopefully, I can complete this with minimal fuss.
Just turned 36,000 kilometres on her, 2018 ES. about to get another set of skins on her.
Inputs greatly appreciated.

This is the connector under the front seat.
You will have to remove aplastic cover
Then you will see it.
It will be easier to tab there i think.
This is on Gen1 European model.
I don't know if its the same in the canadian model.
Hope i halped
