Anyone out there have an an idea for a bracket to fix beneath the headlights upon which to mount an LED headlight? The LED light dimensions are 8 1/2 inches x 2 inches or 215 mm x 50 mm. Thanks in advance.

l sense you are mounting a light bar? Mine came with brackets that almost fit so I only needed to drill some extra holes into the brackets and they fit nicely.

Which light bar? There are quite a few install threads dating back to the earliest days of the forum showing just that.

Yes, that's it. My light comes with a U-shaped bracket. The U-shaped bracket fits on to the rear of the light not on the ends of the light. The bracket would then attach onto a bracket or plate that will fit to the bike
The light itself is just like yours in the picture.
Where did you source your light with a bike compatible bracket?? What is the power or lumens of the light??
Thanks appreciate your info

Thanks, found it on Amazon
Comes up at $70.00 Canadian $$
Tell me what exactly did you have to do to make it fit onto the bike.
I think I read something about removing a piece of plastic from below the headlights and there's some mounting holes in there?
Thanks

I read the entire description of this light, but didn't see what amperage it would draw.
Suspect it would be rather low.
If you are able to provide a close up picture or two of the light and the bracket I would be grateful.

I will eventually get a Rigid SR series dual mode 10" light bar that has bracket very much like those brackets, from what I can tell it should work. If not adding a additional piece of flat stock to bridge the differences between the two mounting points should be doable. I may have to bend it some but I can fabracobble with the best of them.o_O

I made a simple bracket out of a piece of aluminum flat bar

I used the plastic cover as a template

Final mount looked like this

I have a thread in here somewhere with more detail
Excellent pictures along with a very helpful explanation of how to attach an LED strip light.
I have a light that I'm planning to mount, but the light in the picture has mounting or attach points on either side of the light. Where did you source the light??
Appreciate your input

I have my Rigid SR duel in the same spot ,just made some L brackets from aluminum and it mounts from the ends . Look the same as above.
I have the same Rigid SR combo light bar. It came with a couple of small L brackets that would have been easy to copy by cutting a piece of aluminum angle and drilling holes.

Shumba - Just beware of how high the finder can rise at full compression. Seems to me (iirc) full stroke is about 7.5" so a light in the way of the fender can result in something getting broken.

Thanks for your input, as I had not factored in the travel of the front shocks.
I haven't taken delivery of my new bike yet, I week today if weather permits.
But I will be sure to check the compression of the front forks and the effect of the light
Thanks again for your help, much appreciated
