+1 on that. Chris got 214bhp out of my Zx14r but more importantly he made it run amazingly well.

i rode my bike from bridgend to bristol last year chris had my bike on the dyno for 4 1/2 hrs and flashed the ecu in both modes, i can honestly say the 1 hr ride home was fantastic, i spent 2 yrs trying to find out about ecu flash in the uk and power commanders.

chris is exceptional at ecu flashing

Thanks for this Rob, this is an excellent example of someone who actually knows what they are doing and how to get the best out of your bike. :)

Well maybe that’s a little harsh as you haven’t tried it for yourself. The people who make the Booster Plug are quite open about what it does and what it can’t do and they also offer a money back guarantee if the buyer isn’t satisfied. It seems like a ”win - win” solution to me.

It seems to me that a re-flash can be a little hit and miss too with some saying it’s the answer to their prayers and others demanding their money back. I think there are people who really understand ECUs and some who just claim to. Whichever route you take I guess it is “buyer beware”.
give it a go
it's your money.

Choose wisely as the templar said.

Now then who is the equivalent in the U.S.?
Not sure about "who in the US". But locally here in CA you can't beat Mach 1. He is a master mechanic and has a dyno tuning guy that can squeeze every last bit of power out of your bike. He can even tweak the power band to your liking.

I always recommend dyno tuning over a reflash. It's really the only way to precisely get the fueling and ignition working together for the individual riders liking.

I was horrified when Chris at CJS drilled a hole and fitted a probe port to my brand new Brocks down pipes! But it gave him a more accurate reading of the gasses from each cylinder rather than just sticking the probe in the end of the tail pipe.

I’ve seen him get 225hp out of a mates Zx14r.
Chris likes to sit in front of his TV with his laptop playing around with fuel maps for relaxation...

But they don’t tune the ecu?

Probably doesn’t use a booster plug

I think anything that fools the ECU into delivering a different setting is the second choice. The first choice is always to educate the ECU to deliver the correct setting in the first place. To do this accurately you need to take the readings on the rolling road.

Thanks for the answer, just what I was hoping to hear:)
I had the same experience. Less snatchiness . Remember, it only goes richer when the throttle position is changing. The 02 sensors take over and revert to factory closed loop mix when at steady speed. Don’t see any great fuel economy hit either
