Didn't know Schlossman was closing. I was referring to Mischer. In New Orleans,my experience was with The Transportation Revolution.Eville Rich, I believe with Schlossman closing there are only 2 BMW dealers left in WI, Mischler’s and Tytler’s? Folks at Mischler’s are great, I’ve never been to Tytler’s.
By your comment about sales managers, I'm guessing you're talking about that "dealer" on the north side of Austin. I never had a Beemer, but from what I've heard the whole local Beemer community has been in mourning ever since Lone Star sold out to those "other guys." I've been in there a couple of times shopping for a bike and won't visit again. I've also heard horror stories about their service department. It's sad for the sales people because I had the feeling some of them are really good at what they do, including the one that tried to work a deal with me, but his manager completely destroyed any good feeling built up by the sales rep and I ended up twice (several years apart) walking away with my money still in my pocket. The really bad news is they've bought out old dealerships and monopolized so many brands (Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Triumph, BMW and maybe a few others). We used to have a nice homegrown and owned alternative in Georgetown just north of Austin, but now the big conglomerate Ride Now has the crappy north Austin dealer and Georgetown both in their stable.dealers are in the business of selling , but they get attitudes , and it comes from sales managers . he didn't make a sale that day , and he probably sales about 2 or 3 bikes a month based on my visual inventory as I visited the dealership over a 3 week period and would see the same bikes on display . but they also sale honda ,Yamaha , Suzuki , and triumph .
LOL, mine too! BUT as much as I Love my S10, it is 6 years old now, I'm not getting any younger, I'm getting kinda bored, and Yamaha continues to stand still...so I'm going to go sit on a GS(A)1250 tomorrow morning. Hold my beer, what could go wrong!!!My mother said if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything. In this case I am going to follow it.
Hope it works well for you.

First 7 months and 8K miles with our first BMW and there is nothing bad I can say about the bike. Wife loves it and rides more that she ever has with any other bike.I"ve never owned a BMW. I'm into a bit better financial situation, and having a sense of YOLO / "if not now, when?". Maybe in a year I'll be kicking myself and trying to dump a hated BMW. Maybe not, though.
