I'm selling my 2012 with YES warranty until April 28, 2018. It has 32,800 miles on it and I bought it 23 months ago with 14,800 miles and all my miles have been mostly from 7 trips to WV & Blue Ridge and back plus a recent trip out to Arkansas. It's always kept in the garage and covered when travelling at nightly stops. I have a total of about 10 miles of gravel roads on it here in Florida, the rest of the time pavement. No dents or dings. I've serviced synthetic oil and filter every 3,000 miles and have a complete log of maintenance and accessories. I had the 26,000 mile valve adjustment, plugs, & air filter service done at Barney's Yamaha, the local dealer. It runs great and I was never thinking of moving up until I did ride my buddies new 2015ES and I decided to move up while I'm still working and can pay for it. I'll take $7,500 for it and will pick a buyer up at Tampa airport, if they choose to fly in, and he can even stay the night and enjoy some of my award winning homebrew beer! I'll list the farkles.
1. Yamaha factory side bags
2. Yamaha air wings
3. MRA Windshield (stock windshield also)
4. Madstat adjustable windshield bracket
5. Oxford Heated grips
6. Excel Throttle lock
7. Eastern Beaver Fuse block
8. BMW outlet
9. Front fork suspension upgrade
10. Rear shock spring upgrade
11. Continental TKC tires with 2,700 miles with at least 6,000 left.
12. Heated gear pig tail
13. Rox Risers
14. Jason's extended brake & clutch lines
15. Tank savers

This my final price before I take it over next week to my local multi line dealer, who's a friend, and put it on consignment
Thanks,
Ken

Hmmm... are you saying that you cana cancel a YES and get money back? I had no idea this was possible. Not that I want/need to do that I'm just curious.

You can't. But it can be transferred once from the original purchaser of the YES to a new owner. at least that was the case a couple of years ago.

Re: FINAL REDUCED PRICE! 2012 ST $7,500 wt YES until 4/28//18

zzzzip,

I have spoken to Barney's Yamaha here where I bought the warranty and if the YES hasn't been used, then you can get a refund prorated. Mine was $525 left out of the $690 I paid for it. I will say that I think this is part of Florida law and not Yamaha. That's why the dealers in FL can't charge any more or less than the set price for the warranty. Hope this is clear as mud.

The pre owned 2014 ES that my son bought in June had 4 years YES, but the original owner cashed it in and got 100% back because the bike was still under the original 12 month warranty. A friend totaled his 2012 with YES this Oct and he had to send YES the proof that it was totaled and he got a prorated amount back.

Ok... so then what is Ken talking about? He said, "If a buyer does not want the YES warranty, I will cash in and the price for the bike would be $7,900!

Ken"

I'm soooo confused!! :D

Brick,

If you don't use the Yes and it's still in effect and you haven't transferred it, then you can cash it in and receive a prorated amount. You don't have to total the bike or sell it to cancel it and receive your funds back.

I stand corrected. That's good to know even though I don't have a YES on bikes at the moment.
