New to the foreman and just love my New Tenere so far this summer, but critters here in eastern Washington State are out there to get you after dark. Rode a few hours in the dark for the first time last night and was not impressed with lighting. Looking for info on angle adjustment cause lighting needs to angle down and any updates on Cyclops LEDs.

I just installed the Cyclops lights. It puts out a lot of light. I am also out here in Washington on the "Wet Side" It has lots of critters and dark spaces. I also run rigid DS lights on the bow.

I’m having trouble finding info on adjusting angle on the lights as I am getting “high beamed” from oncoming traffic when I have lows on. And the highs are highlighting the trees. Took all the front headlight plastic off and it looks like there are two 8mm adjustment heads?

Welcome aboard! Please reach out to myself, Checkswrecks or colorider for help with the forum (we just changed over software platforms, so even we are still getting used to it!). The tech forums are a great resource for almost anything about the bike, and if you don't find the answer, there are plenty of helpful folks here!

Has anybody tried these new fan-less LEDs? They are dirt cheap, the stats are pretty good, and they seem to be no hassle too install.

Also, check your preload adjustment too; it makes a difference on the headlight angle.

I put these in about two months ago and are way better then stock. No fans and so far no problems. I haven't been flashed but I did adjust them when I installed them. Ebay purchased $19.99 shipped. I also purchased the larger caps from this site.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just bought a pair of the extended caps and also a a pair of the headlight experts lifetime ones but could not find a workable fitment even with the extended caps.

I just ordered a pair of these on prime and will give them a shot. The idea that they are ip68 AND are fanless makes it seem like we could run without caps if needed....has anyone done that with these (or another pair of LEDs)? Just curious...

I think that if you run without caps, you open the headlight assembly as a whole to water and dust infiltration. I would avoid running without the caps.

I bought the Nighteye lamps for $23/pair on ebay and installed them with Deftoner's extended caps. So far so good. I didn't find a perfectly dark road around my home yet but a first short night ride revealed a much brighter defined light pattern. The true test would be comparing these to the much more expensive Cyclops, but I had dead bulb and for $23 I thought it was worth the try.

Cyclops here, and I am very happy with them. I have added a lot more lighting as well, as we have lots of animals roaming our roads at night.
