Best recipie on sorting power on 2016 xt1200z Super Ten

So the bottom line is - if you have a Gen 1 a reflash is very beneficial, but if you have a Gen 2 then there is not much to be gained from a reflash. Or is there anyone with a reflashed Gen 2 (only) who noticed any significant improvements ??

I’ve been hearing for years that the generation 2 Tenere was much improved over generation 1, well a couple weeks ago I finally took a generation 2 for a test ride and wow I was amazed at how much better it is ! Waaay smoother, wider power band,cruise control , wound up trading in my 2013 for a 2018 ES, should be picking it up next week. As far as doing any mods with hopes of more horse power at my age I’m just not into that type of thing anymore . Can’t say I noticed more horse power with the generation 2 but the little improvements just seem to make everything work a little better.

I'm 300lbs, still like to ride fast, and I don't see any need to spend more money to make it go faster. She has plenty of grunt. I've never ridden a Gen I, but I have ridden an FJR/rocket. She doesn't have the FJR's top end speed, but around town, in "S", she's close to the FJR. My son thinks the Tenere is quicker 0-30; I'm not to sure about that.

Gatis have you ever tried riding a different Tenere just to see if maybe there might be something wrong with yours that could be fixed ?

No experience on other Tenere, but guess Im just spoiled from previous years on 1000cc sports bikes.

Now one more month on mine in S mode and I start to be more adapted. Tenere is just way to different from what I have been riding before
