Nice to hear from MD, I lived in Baltimore for 10 years..big Ravens fan :)

Well I'm in a big city but i am the only one with S10, my buddies goes for the bmw...
any ways, so far this is the only shop everyone told me to go to..the guy at the shop told me that he could fix ,alligned but wouldn't touch the spokes...I assume he will fix the dent with press machine then allign the wheels like any other car or bmw alloy wheels ..would that be a problem?

That's sorta why I suggested a "specialist". In the states at least, there are a number of vendors (for example, the one below) who fix and straighten bent wheels routinely, have all the tools and expertise, and are familiar with the tricks. But I don't know if such vendors are available in your part of the world. Maybe time to bite the bullet and get a new wheel.

...or at least confirm that you are, really, losing air because of the ding in the wheel. You should be able to check this by dropping some soapy water on the area of the bend. If it bubbles, you got trouble!

If you have to take the wheel to someone not particularly experienced with wire motorcycle wheels, be prepared to fork out for a new one if he screws it up. I'd try to get a money back guarantee if at all possible. Then, if it's not fixed, at least you're no worse off than if you just went out a bought a new wheel in the first place.

Bulletmore? Well you're all right then!

Start like DCStrom suggests and see if you do really have a leak with some soapy water.

The Beemer guys run wire wheels, so is this guy who they go to? Your Yamaha dealer is supposed to have a technician trained in maintenance for THIS model, which includes checking spokes.

If nothing else, get your guy to straighten it and then go to somebody who knows spoked wheels to true it and check the spoke tensions. Also, as mentioned int he other thread, a touch of paint or threadlock on the nipples will help in the longer term.
