Hello. Been a long time since I have been on forum. Where is everybody. Lol. Looks like no activity here in Texas.
s
Check out Facebook group Motorcycling Texas Backroads. There's activity there, especially out of the DFW area, and a lot of discussion of rides in the central Texas hill country. I was surprised to find the majority of the group's bikes are Harleys, Indians and Goldwings, but others are thankfully welcome. Because of issues with Facebook, the group will become "Private" as ot tomorrow, 11/13/2021. tomorrow, but folks can still join it. Check it out.

fascistbook is a better and more honest title for that service .
personally I've never been on it or a member of it , I could never find a any good reason to be on it ,and they certainly do not reflect my values or respect my values. they crow free speech while suppressing it.... waste of time.

back to the weather , prime motor cycle weather it is . the hill country west of Austin is about as congested as any place (wine drinking tourist) . wineries are every where ,just a huge tourist trap around Fredricksburg... but is better than Austin.

I’m real lucky. I live in Tenere heaven. 60 miles west of ft worth in the hill country. Santo is on hwy 4. No traffic out here. Tons of fm roads and nearly all blacktop. Don’t even have to get the beast dirty. Lol. I run shinko 705s. perfect for out here. Hated the noise and wobble of big blocks. If you don’t really need em. Get em off. Transforms ur bike to go back to 80/20 tires. IMHO

Yeah, you have to go south of Fredericksburg, and west of Kerrville for some great roads. North of Fredericksburg, up around Enchanted Rock isn't bad either.

highway 90 is a wonderful road to no where , no people no traffic just pristine pavement and nice views. I-10 sucks in every way.
when I go to big bend or ft. Davis I head to del rio and 90 west . Langtry is an interesting stop . and some of the few places to eat actually have some amazing food ..... and the people who live there are just a little different. worth the ride.

Hell. Guess one of the reasons I always ride West. I turn into one Big ol Burrito. Stripes stock goes up every time I saddle up.

Any of you fellas ever stayed at the Crows Nest ranch out of ft Davis. I’ve stayed alot of places out in the BB area. Haven’t hit that one yet. Just wondering if ya can just pull in without res since it’s a working ranch. I hate to res as much as I hate schedules or appts. lol.

I'll leave it to you folks. There's a lot to like hidden in pockets all over the State so like to visit but I've worked there enough to be familiar with your freezing winter sleet and summer heat.

Weatherwise, San Diego is the bestest place for bikes year 'round. Just can't afford to live there.
