From the first day I bought my S10 it turned over real slow and was a little hard to start. When the original YTZ12 battery played out, I put in a Yuasa YTZ14 battery. It turned over a little bit better with the 14, but still strained to start. I ran the 14 for a couple on months and decided to put in a WPS Featherweight Lithium battery. The Lithium battery has been in for two years and it turns the motor over much better and the S10 starts instantly. I couldn't be happier.

Rider, the lithium battery can be recharged with my conventional black&decker slow charger ?

Excuse me, it's a question: can the lith. bat. be recharged with conventional charger ?
This depends on the battery. You must read the documentation. Most lithium batteries have charging circuits built in to protect them against overcharging, which then allows them to be dropped in place of a normal agm/lead battery. This implies that they would tolerate a conventional charger, but i suspect it would not be ideal.

Look at the documentation from earthx or antigravity to be sure before you buy.

The problem with a conventional charger is some of them have a desulfating mode which ramps the volts up over 15. Lithium batteries as I understand it don't like being charged that high and can be damaged. The bike's charging system, working properly, should not spike the voltage like that.

You are right, now you mention it. I was warned by the supplier that I first checked and measured my voltage regulator because a voltage above 15 will cause an meltdown (fire) of the battery that can not be stopped once started. Conventional batteries stop when power is removed. Good point! Mine is just under 14 I believe.
