Hi everyone. I rode a tdm900 for the last 2 years all year round, covering nearly 30000 miles and after completing Aberdeen to Brighton in 12hrs (666.6 miles!?!) I decided the time had come to change up to my dream bike. I just test rode and bought a 2010 Super Tenere and can't wait for the next time I need to make a long run. Looking forward to joining your community.

I've done exhaustive research and come to the conclusion the XT is the closest thing to perfection in a motorcycle for me so it will be great to link in with more like minded people, who aren't buying in to the GS obsession, and see the XT for what it is.

To intro myself; I'm a hospital Security Officer and wannabe Scottish smallholder. I love long distance riding, which is a good thing as there are over 600 miles between where I work and where I am transitioning to.
Hence the bike for the job.

Can't wait for the van to show up and the adventure to begin. :)

Congrats, I'm in the same boat, only with colder water (Canada) I plan to pick up my bike on Friday, March 22nd. and ride it home from London to Stratford, Ontario Canada that is.
Ha ha...we just borrowed the names of places and cities from Great Britain.
Enjoy your new ride.
