I was wondering if the S10 is a nice ride for a passenger and if anybody has added a backrest to one or added a backrest to their past adventure bikes? My wife does not care for my current bike so I'm hoping she will find the S10 more to her liking.

One other note I remember when these bikes were called enduros, then they were dual sports now I guess adventure is the new name is that about right?

Maybe outfit the Givi topcase of your choosing with a backrest and accomplish 2 things at once?

That's my plan.

I was hoping to leave her at the lake cottage and go by myself. But now it has a comfortable passenger pillion.

I thought about that but for now I am steering away from running a top case.

I'll bet Duane over at Premier Cycle Accessories would machine a backrest bracket specifically for the Super Tenere if there was enough interest. Of course he would need a bike to measure.

I have met him at FJR meets and have done business with his shop...A1 guy.

Now that I think about it, I may have one of his FJR backrests as well as his Givi baseplate compatible tail rack somewhere?? in the man cave. Wheels are beginning to turn! You might have just saved me some farkle money...thanks!

Keep us informed I'd like to know if the plate you have works out for the S10.

Brave cameraman at the beginning of that video. Lots of "close up" shots of the bike booming past

I think the cameraman was riding the bike! The camera was just on a small tripod right near the ground. Just an assumption on my part but no twitches, panning, etc. leads me to believe that was the case. Still, jumping and sliding around ones expensive video camera, like that, isn't for the weak of heart. Ha.
