I use a Sena SMH10. It's an old model now posssibly replace by a new version I believe but had this one about 4 years with no issues so far. Battery life is all day as long as you don't constantly chat and distance direct sight with clear audio about 1/2 mile.

Another big thumbs up for this helmet!!!

As OP stated, this is hands down the best helmet for glass wearers, literally feels like you don't have a helmet on at all. The ventilation is pretty amazing, little bit on the loud side but I ride with plugs anyways. You do get a whistle when doing head checks from the peak at freeway speeds, but other than that its just typical road noise.

I would not hesitate to buy it again, $$$$ as hell but to me its well worth it.

What Bluetooth system are you guys pairing with this helmet?

I have the Corsair, but also use the Sena. I mainly use it for music, but do use it for comms also. Yeah, it's supposed to have a 1.5 mile range, but .5 is more realistic. Crystal clear without wind noise; even when you answer the phone. Doesn't the visor on the Arai XD-4 catch the wind?

Can't say it never catches wind, but it typically doesn't. Only time it will noticeably get a little pull is when you are doing a full shoulder checks or if its a super windy day with lots of cross winds. I drive freeway pretty much my entire commute at 80mph and never have any issues. I always thought it would, but they engineered it really well.

Been riding with XD's for about 400,000 miles, neither the visors or the vents have ever caused me any kind of wind problems. The windiest state I have ever ridden in is Montana, on the wing no problem but with the Tenere wind noise did get a little annoying at times.

The Gold Wing is a two wheeled cocoon. I love and adore my Tenere, but it is no 'Wing. ::001::

Very true but in my opinion they are both great bikes, the only thing I really miss when riding my Tenere is cruise control , on a rough road the Tenere suspension is a whole lot better.

I went the other way as far as visibility. I think it looks striking, and it grabs my attention at least. My first Dual-Sport style helmet and I'm really diggin' it.

Yup! It's a hard not to love this jacket! It just replaced my 10+ years old SHIFT mesh jacket that has seen better days - HUGE improvement in every way.

I find the helmet to be pretty quiet with the setup I have (tall OEM windscreen).

You can cut the noise ALMOST IN HALF if you close the tewo vents on the front/top of the helmet (not the brow vents on visor the two on top on the front.

With all other vents wide open it still vents well - just without the small air streem tickling your scalp.

Trust me you will love it too. The waterproof liner they give you is great for cool mornings. Mine is black, and people think I'm nuts wwearing it when it is 85-90 degrees, but I don't mind it at all it breathes really well.

They ditched the W.P. Liner this year and lowered the price by $150 or something, that's how I was able to afford it. I already have W.P. Liners from other jackets, so I didn't want to pay for another one anyway.

Third season with XD-4 helmet still love it would buy another tomorrow if it broke. Same for the Klim unduction jacket it is fantasctic. With a thin fleece underneath it is a 3 season jacket (at least where I live, where 3 seasons is only May to November!)

I have been using Arai XD helmets since they came out, have worn out at least 3 of them, bought a brand new hiviz XD4 last winter at the international motorcycle show $509 delivered to my house. I haven’t worn it yet but I plan on getting a wireless headset for it so I can listen to my Zumo 595 while riding the Tenere.
