Went down to Alamogordo this last two days man it was great weather sat back enjoyed the sun couple beers, music, book and a couple trips into the mountains.
Sorry guys no photos left my damn SD card at home..

We all need to do what it takes to take care of ourselves. Nothing wrong with taking a trip to unwind and rejuvenate. Taking a trip like yours likely energizes you to continue the job search.

Anyhow, these bikes run for dirt cheap. I'm always impressed when I fill mine up with gas after a day of riding and it's $12. I think to myself "$12 for all that fun? I need to do this more often."

I'm glad you took that trip. Best of luck with the continued job search.

If weather permits I am camping!! ::008::
It rode like a champ and was quite frisky feeling after a couple hours of highway 85mph. ::26::
Gave the throttle bodies a chance to flush out after months of local putting around.
Thanks for the encouragement SPX!

Been wanting to go to the desert. Finally stopped working. Tenere is in the shop being repaired. Camping gear is on the kitchen floor... waiting. Hope the excellent weather holds.

I just got back from the SouthEast FL ADV rally with 2 days of camping. ~50 at night and ~70 in the day. Perfect weather all around!

After the first half of off-roading, we pulled into a gas statin, I drop the kick stand, and notice that my radiator is hemorrhaging coolant. I have no idea why (no punctures, no major holes, not leaking from the fill cap, etc.) and it hasn't done it since. Weird.

If you had a breeze with that 50-70 that is perfect Florida weather.
Along the coast steaming off some fresh blue crab is even better yet!!. ::008::

Was the radiator fan functioning? If no, check the fuse.
- Check the radiator air intake for being blocked or excessive dirt/sand.
- Has your Tenere ever been dropped on the left side?
- Very easy to press the fan blade against the radiator.

Radiator has been throughly checked (radiator isn't blocked/clogged, has been dropped on its side in the way, way past where I've already replaced the fan and straightened the fan bracket, and the current fan is not contacting the radiator.) Even a day later, it hasn't leaked at all. I, along with the other riders I was with, have no freaking clue how or why the coolant was coming out. The bike has been performing perfectly fine, temps are in the normal range, and without that single episode, you wouldn't think a single thing was wrong. I'd like to chock it up to the mysteries of the universe but I guess time will tell.

Ramsey,
I was just up in your neck of the woods Saturday.
We rode up through the Jemez, past the Valles Caldera, Lost Alamos, then down through Santa Fe, and took 14 through Madrid back home.
I should have messaged you, but forgot, sorry.
Little bit of snow and ice between Caldera and Bandoleer Mnt.

Nice ride, I was bushed had stuff to do around the house but thanks for the thought.
I am going to need new tires soon so I have to recoup my finances my second valve check is due 10 k from now as well!! ::010::
Looks like I am going have to go back to cooking until something comes up at the lab.. :'(
64 from Tres Piedras to Tierra Amarilla or vice Versa should be a nice snowy run, been up that way people sill running Snow Mobiles at the passes Lol!

Alamogordo is going to be hitting 80 this week, you should check out Oliver Lee State park for camping $10.00 with free showers along the Mesa real quiet desert surroundings. One of the cleanest nicest Camp grounds I found so far in New Mexico!! ::008::
Site #11 is the most private spot water about 20 yards away and a path you can ride in and out of your site to the main road without going through the whole park..
It's a good base spot nice riding up in Cloud Croft 244 down to 70 is a sport bikes almost full throttle paradise then ride to Ruidoso or back down to Tularosa.
Or 130 from Cloud Croft to 24 to 506 back to The camp ground is a fun run as well, some real nice pavement in that neck of the woods.

Still want to get that skid plate off you when $$$'s are available!

Re: Anyone go Camping this year yet?

At the ripe old age of 52 we had our first child 10 months ago. I stopped working and became stay at home dad...been fun. However, mother in law showed up the previous week wanting her baby time...full time. I took the hint, loaded up and departed. Over 1400 miles and 7 days later I returned ready for daddy duty! Headed down to S Az and a couple day trips into Mexico. Weather was perfect...mid 70's and low 40's at nite. Camped every nite but one.

Re: Anyone go Camping this year yet?

Last weekend was excited as loaded the cases to go north on my first solo ride and camp of the year, then last minute changed mind as had a 'better' plan for this time and party cus of a mediocre weather forecast. Unloaded cases, dumped the Mrs on the back n went south instead for a day trip to a landmark only to do a long detour to avoid an accident road blockage, rode dull uninspiring dual carriageways/motorways, hit constant heavy traffic, wife bickering through me intercom or having silent mards, and sped past a speed cam with a ticket and fine probably in the post, all on an un-forecasted beautiful warm sunny day... ::010:: They say go with your first instinct... :'(

Hey Buelligan how was 152?
Last time I was on that road it was like riding on Granola the thin cap they put on it was crumbling away.
By the way I loved that road if not for the pavement and Mule deer every 100 yards.

Just went camping in Lone Pine, CA (Tuttle Creek). Got rained on the first night and suffered through some high winds on the road and in camp but it ended up being a nice long weekend.

2 weeks ago, brother and I took our bikes and went camping at overland expo west at Mormon Lake, AZ. Saw lots of Teneres, 5 days 4 nights.
