It's snowing out again today.
I'm going to forget how to ride by spring.

WOWEE!! How beautiful. Do you have snowmobiles or a snowbike conversion? I have never swung a leg over a snowmobile. It's on my bucket list. I want to rent one for my wife and I with a professional tour company some day....

More snow expected here today. But I took the cover off and started her up yesterday. When it does warm up above freezing the roads are coated in salt.
How do you store your Super Tenere? Looks I'm out on the injured list (not motorcycle related) for at least 6 months so no riding. I live in Southern CA so I figure to just start the bike every week or so and let it come up to temperature.

There are a lot of things I dislike about southern California, but the riding weather and awesome twisty backroads make up for a lot of it. I'm suffering with the 70 degree weather today but it's supposed to warm up to 75 later next week.

Yeah, it's been a long winter already. The first snowstorm came at the end of October. We have had a lot of snow, but there isn't enough on the ground to open the snowmobile trails because of the melting. It's 36F today and raining. Some trails were opened up about 100 miles north of here recently, but with the rain and warm temps they won't be open long. I enjoy snowmobiling, but we usually trailer them to Michigan's UP to get any decent riding. Winter sucks when your main hobby/passion is motorcycles.

I'm sure the Newfies have had enough of winter. St. John's, the capital city, received 1 meter of snow and has been in a state of emergency for 7 days. Nothing is open and travel is restricted.

46F and overcast today. Rained -all- day yesterday. Went for a ride this morning. 50 miles West to help a new rider out. He needed a licensed moto rider to escort him to the DMV so he could take is riding test. Surprisingly, they actually asked for my license and scanned a copy to document that a properly endorsed rider was with him while he rode there with a leaners permit. He passed. Nice guy too and I enjoyed meeting him and spending a little time chatting while waiting for him to take his skills test. It was cold enough that the DMV guy only made him do a few laps in the parking lot while watching him and called it good. Not like the three instructor cone course version I had to do in '85 on my '40 Knucklehead chopper.

We moved South of the snow line for a reason. :)

I am totally sick and tired of the snow. I've got 42.5 hrs of UNpaid OT this month so far. And I've got to go in at 4am in the morning because of it. After tomorrow I'll be over 50 hrs. I'm saving this as comp time and gonna burn it riding when warmer weather FINALLY comes.
