After a long break in riding to raise a family, I rented an Africa Twin in Nevada and was hooked again- I tried a number of bikes, and ultimately purchased my used 2017 ES - I'm really enjoying the S10. I have added Outback Motech's crash bars and skidplate. I also mounted a set of K60's. Currently researching and purchasing more tools, and more support gear. Winter tasks include fabricating a proper luggage rack, changing the rear spring rate, adding charging ports, etc. I also am debating buying a tune for the ECU. Also looking for people to ride with in the area.

Welcome from Texas. I was fortunate to not have to give up riding for kids. And now, my kids have their own bikes and we ride together.

Having common interests with the kids is great. I had 3, all with different interests. My son wanted to go to school to be an engineer in the racing industry, so we went racing to get him experience. Even at the sportsman level racing is a huge time and investment commitment. It all paid off, all the kids are all happy and/or married, employed, etc. My son is too busy to race and cannot risk getting injured, so we are in the process selling anything race related. The S10 will be put to good use this summer.
