I placed my order and received the bags/rack in approximately 3 weeks. It appears by the shipping label that it was shipped from china to Brooks in California, then shipped to me. I was not impressed with fed ex. They left the package in the middle of my porch for everyone to see. $850 could have walked away very easily.

The items were packed well but even so I had damage to the rear outside plastic protector. This didn't instill much confidence in it holding up in a drop. I called the company and they offered to ship the piece and refund $50. Awesome

The side racks mounted fine even though it had no instructions and the mounting hardware didn't match the bike. A trip to lowes and $12 provided the necessary bolts. The problem came from the rear support. I had to bend the rear fender back to get it to fit.

The other issue I had with the racks is they are not powder coated, just painted. Any nick with a wrench was instant paint removal.
I mounted the right side bag and The locking nut would not hold the wheel in place. Luckily I had some washers to make up the gap

I tried to mount the left bag and could not get it on the rack for the life of me. I took pictures and sent them to Brooks and they advised me that the sent the wrong bags. A check of the packing slip showed BMW gs 1200..... They sent me return labels to send the boxes back. Even though the rear support bent the fender out ( no other way for it to fit) it was the correct set of mounts. After all the issues and the quality of the paint, I decided to ask for a refund. I will say the customer service was great. No issues at all with the refund or them offering a discount for me fixing the broken corner(which is riveted on). I ended up going with mosko moto 35l backcountry bags. I can't recommend Brooks from My experience and I'm saying that from my experience only.

You will not go wrong with the Mosko Moto bags. I though long and hard at the best system for me. The only one advantage of the hard bags is they are about 10 seconds quicker to get in and out of.

That sucks that you had a bad experience. I can understand your frustration. Great they handled the refund and return promptly. Good luck with your new luggage.

How BIG are these bags? If they are waterproof can you use them as a bathtub?
The Mosko Moto bags are 100% waterproof. 35 liter capacity, expandable when packed and compressed when you need less room. They are lockable. Best of all they do not get damaged like hard cases when the bike is dropped. Also less chance of shattering your leg if you drop your bike.
