Hey guys, I'm looking to get a spare set of wheels for my old XTZ750, but they seem to be as rare as hens teeth! Anyone any ideas of what possible wheels from other bikes will fit (TDM850, 660 Tenere, etc.).
It's just to stick on a pair of enduro tyres, as it's easier just changing wheels than tyres when I'm going for a bit of fun - getting custom made wheels just to save me some time a few times a year would be a bit of a luxury to be honest, but cheers anyway.
So why is the site called 'yamahasupertenere.com' and not 'yamahaxt1200.com'? You do know the Super Tenere dates back to 1989 yeah? The XT1200 has only been out since 2010, so if this is exclusively a site for the XT1200, do you not think your name is somewhat misleading?

On a worldwide scale you are correct, but this forum originated in USA (I believe) and the xt1200 was the the first Tenere (super or not) to be available in North America so it was named yamahasupertenere.com perhaps not even realizing the smaller models existed in other markets.
Regardless, welcome to the forum from Canada .

Essentially you are right and we do occasionally have people pop in with the old bikes, so there's no problem with asking and maybe somebody might have a clue for you.
However, there are so few of the oldies left and so very few in the US where most of the membership is, that I'd suggest something like:
