Akrapovic too quiet

I just picked up an S 10 with the Akrapovic pipe. I’m disappointed on how quiet it is. Yes, I’m coming from a V Strom that had a two brothers racing exhaust which was very loud, too loud. But there’s got to be a point in between these two exhaust pipes. Has anyone bored out the DB killer? Were you happy with the results?

Maybe ride it for a while and see if you still feel the same way after some highway miles? The DB killer should be removable, either with a bolt inside or drilling out a spot weld. You should be able to then install it with a screw or bolt with some minor effort and that would allow you to mod the insert and re-install it.

What ever came of this I have a two brothers on my 15 es and for 98% of the time I love it though akra's tone almost always sound better to me on any bike I've heard them.

nothing yet. Winter and snow have set in so the S10 is in hibernation. LOL I’ll look at it in the spring.
