Hi Gentlemens!
I recently bought a complete Arrow exhaust and need real life advice.

My bike is a 2012- with Uni Pod filter- unflashed.

I bought this exhaust used . I repaired it and clean it a lot. Now that I’m about to try it , a friend of mine warn me on some « possible » dommage that this kind of set-up can do if the air fuel mixture not appropriate.
My plan is to use the headers with the oem muffler because the slip on has no DB killer and its way too much braaaap for my needs!
I just want to keep the headers for its flowing qualities! ;)The problem is I don’t want to spend in a flash.
What do you think?

Just did a full a full system on mine. I actually love the full setup.... Sounds Ducatiish. But I also own a couple loud ass Harleys, so its subjective. I cant wait to flash mine. I cant stand the just off idle lean stumble made worse. Getting rid of some of the decel pop too. So yes, youll be fine as far as damages. I bet youll wanna flash it too.

Yes one day ! For now I really enjoy the power that the bike gives me . And really like the engine braking too.
I barely ride the bike around my place with the Arrow headers because when I got them we were already in below zero temps here. But it seems to rev easily. And I sold the Arrow can because it had a few pieces missing (db killer and circlip) and didn’t want to buy them separately ...too expensive! I prefer the combination of the headers and oem exhaust in term of sound note. Might mod ( enlarge) the exhaust tip in the future like one member done here.

They will work fine. Just forget keeping them shiney. They won't do it. Been there
I know they won’t stay shiny. But I just want to clean them before installation and I had to weld another stainless bracket that was rip off the headers ( near the foot peg) because it had been probably broken in the crash. They come from an accidented bike.

I’ll keep an eye on this! Next step is a flash or going back stock. It already has Unifilter pod so...yes , might run lean a lot.
I'm not sure it will hurt anything. As long as you are aware of it.

What do you think guys?
Engine temp seem normal / engine behave normally At idle / start and run Normally.
I suspect a lean mixture causing hi-temp
In the headers and muffler...Will inspect the plugs tonight. Might consider go back to stock air filter to reduce air flow...EE37F772-A7DC-4671-BE23-E9E5BCE19251.jpeg38426A23-D080-40ED-80B0-2922AC336205.jpeg

If you go for a full system, headers and end can, and ditch the cat, then you really, really, should spend the money and get it flashed, preferably by someone with a dyno to get the best out of your bike. Without the correct fuelling, the motor will run lean.

No first hand experience, but I’ve read of some surging issues adding the exhaust without flashing the ECU. Surging could indicate a lean mixture, so perhaps the OEM ECU programming does not have enough automatic adjustment range to correct the mixture?

I’ve fitted the arrow decat headers with OEM silencer which made no difference. I will be getting it flashed next month anyway and will have the lambda sensors switched off in the ecu. At the moment the ecu seems to be auto compensating for the decat pipe ok.
