As someone that has spent all of his life fixing things, I would encourage you to rewrite that book. Sensors have connectors and components and can often go bad. I've seen many electrical components of various types that would fail as they heated up. Sometimes by only a small amount, but it was enough to open or increase the resistance of a a circuit. I'm not saying that the sensor or heat is the cause in this case, but I wouldn't rule it out either.

I have the exact problem and don't know how to get rid of it. If you find a solution , please come and tell the rest of us.

And now...I've that exact issue. How did you correct ( if you did ) your problem ? Mine is a XT1200ZE 2014. Just a week ago started in that exact way, as yours: ABS light goes on sometimes, turns off for a while, then on again, without a clear pattern. That's why I seeked for this thread...and got no a solution...
