Thanks men, I hope the Alaska pictures have a Super Tenere in them rather than a blue Wee.

We should be heading home through Whitehorse , that may be around the 15th, we will be going up the South Canol on around the 1st. I don't even have a cell phone so it's hard to stay in touch with anyone.

Made a day of riding in North Missouri today on Black Tops, Gravel and Dirt roads. ended up going 380 miles.

On Thursdays I go into Ottumwa, Iowa to have breakfast with my dad and daughter, With fall getting closer it's darker and darker every Thursday.

The back roads are just great, with old bridges

This one lead to a great dirt road

This is about all that is left of Shelby's Point, Mo.

I rode about 50 miles of gravel and dirt and this is what the gravel roads looked like.

I found this bridge over the Chariton River, It was broken in the center and sinking down

I crossed it anyway.

All the letter roads are fun in Missouri, I need to do this a lot more before winter sets in.

IL, the land of straight, flat, boring roads
My son is riding his Wee Strom up from Biloxi next weekend and we will be attending the MSTA rally in Cape Girardeau, MO on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday we plan to head west for more southern MO roads and then into AR for more of the same. Looking forward to a good week of riding those fantastic roads.

This last weekend three of us headed south to ride the Ozarks for four days. We had great weather, great roads and a lot of fun.
The fall colors where pretty good but a little spotty.

Clint was on his FJR and Mike was on his new 103 HD but they were still willing to go off pavement.

We found this old swingging bridge

We stopped by the Devils well, at the bottem of this stars is a platform that is 100 feet above a lake down in there that is bigger than a football field
But you would need one of them million power lights to see anything down in there.

This would be the Hodgson Mill built in 1897 The spring put out 1 million gallons an hour

We spotted this guy walking along the road

Then we jumped over the border into Arkansas to ride the Buffalo river area.

There is over 400 wild Elk in the area.

We hiked out to Whitaker Piont. That would be Clint out on the edge.

To get to the best camp site of the trip along the Current River we had a small streem to cross.

This was Rex, he came into camp and spent the evening with us. he has always lived in the area and told us a lot about the Current River .
Very fun guy .

Thanks for reading Steve

Thank's guys
I traided bikes with them two and that is the first modern HD I've been on, NO VIBRATION at all, very nice if you like cruisers [not me]. The FJR just isn't my kind of bike anymore either. I hope Clint gets on here and tells us what his thoughts are on the Tenere. He didn't really say much about it. I don't know if it's the right bike for Mike either, he's that cruiser kind of guy, He didn't want to trade back though. I think the Tenere is the best thing that ever happened to motorcycles. You can keep that snow Rem.

The temps were in the mid 30s today so I went for a 200 mile ride into Missouri.
A long time ago Michelle and I would cross a toll bridge in eastern Iowa into Missouri. They have built new highways in that area so I went looking for that old bridge today. It was built in 1937 and length of 763' The tolls were removed in 2003.

Then I found my way over to Athens, Mo.
This is the place of the northern most Civil War battle west of the Mississippi river. Aug. 5th 1861.
The town had 500 resadence in it's hayday. Now only a historical Park with no one living there.

Not much left of the old grist mill.

On the way home I went through Lebanon,Ia. and this just struck me as odd. A pay Phone booth.

Rumer has it that Ted Nugent ate at this now closed restaurant once [big hunting area] Uncle Ted if you read this let us know if this is fact.

It's that time of year again to try out our COLD weather riding, and camping. So I called Matt up and we set the date to leave for southern Missouri Ozarks.
He had not done much exploring in the Ozarks so it was all new to him.
On the way south we stopped by the big swinging bridge.

Then it was on South.
We went by some cliffs that had caves in them.

Down in the Nat. Forest around Fort Leonard Wood we found some good trails.

Then it was time to camp for the night.
We found a great spot right on the bank of the Big Piney.

In the morning it was cold but we found good trails right away and worked up our blood temp.

Then it was on south and we went to the Akers Ferry.

Good street roads too.

More dirt roads.

Then we stopped by Big Springs.

Time to find a good camp sight again.
In the winter the days are so short we are up early and ready to ride when the sun comes up because we have to be camped by 4:30 it gets dark at 5:00 short riding days.

On the bank of the Current river tonight.

That night these local guys showed up with there boat and went out on the river for about 1 and 1/2 hours . when they came back they had gigged about 80 fish.
