No. I’m in the Boston area. I took all of it off to hold my bag. I have all of the original stuff. I never carry passengers anyways.

Doubt it. Non-ES, and I don't see any added controls on the bars.

Factory would be wired through dash
You would be correct if it was an ES. But, you can see the manual preload knob, and no filler panel, indicating non-ES.

If you add Yamaha accessory heated grips to a non ES bike they are still controlled through the dash. Bike is prewired for them. Gets done all the time.
