What: 7th Annual Super Tenere Rally

Here are the quick and dirty details for your short attention spans. It is going to be fun and YES there will be Super Teneres' there so come on. Don't have one? That's OK, none of us 'Merican's had one 6 years ago. Now they are everywhere.

When: Rocktober 4th to the 8th, you can come early and stay late......by Rocktober I do mean October.

June 22nd - Registration opens
July 3rd - Cabins will be unlocked
Sept 15th - Registration closes

So what is the plan so far?
Thur: show up and ride, let's meet for dinner at the Tellico Plaines Cafe (NOT INCLUDED) 6:30 PM (or so), kinda a meet and greet. Shake hands chat, have a beverage (BYOB).
Fri: ride some, relax, enjoy your time on a bike
Sat: Banquet dinner, food and some drink, say good bye, talk about all the fun we had have some group time
Sun: Ride some, say goodbyes and ride home or stay
Mon: Ride some more, say more goodbyes, stay....ride......your decision

Where: Hunts Motorcycle Campground

9555 TN-68,
Tellico Plains, TN 37385
You can plug the following into your GPS or into Google Maps: 35.348305, -84.307067

About Hunts:

You are responsible for your own room/tent site. Please wait to call Lori for cabins, they are currently locked, if you are wanting to reserve a tent site or RV spot (limited) you can book now. Lori prefers an EMAIL sent to her via the site. She has blocked off the entire time for us. In the email please tell her YOU ARE WITH THE SUPER TENERE RALLY. This is for tent sites, there are some outlets for charging phones and whatnot, might want to bring a multi outlet type power strip so the outlets can be shared.

Hunts pricing is as follows: $12.00 per person per night, $5.00 per night extra if plugged in to electricity this rates include taxes. So how ever many nights times 12 bucks. Math, it is fundamental............
Don't believe me about Hunts? You can look fer yourself on their website by clicking HERE.

Lori is good people and she loves phone calls, AND you can text her.

So what is for dinner?
In case you missed it I am working on menu, it will likely be a buffet style pulled pork dinner, 2 sides, water/tea and a desert. Kinda standard for the south.

Aside from that I got tracks. Yep I have tracks. About 2-3 weeks out I will post up some tracks for you to load up on your GPS. There are so many places to ride, neat things to do and I will give you some ideas. If anyone has ridden East TN they know there is good riding there.

Payment INFO (aside from what you owe Hunts):
Cost: $48.00

Pay with PayPal (friends and family) to: patrickg450@yahoo.com

Dude, I am broke........sure is a lot of money!!!!!!!
Someone always asks..............."Hey Paddy'O, what the heck am I getting for my money?......" Well let me tell you.

A 2018 Rally T-Shirt is included. Please make sure you include a size and your screen name on the PP submission.
if you asked for the size wrong I wear a Large so lets hope that is what you clicked by accident.

I am working on decals so you can stick it to your bike. Even tell everyone that you made the rally.

I am working on the dinner for the Saturday night dinner, more to come on that. Buffet style pulled pork BBQ with sides and a drink. Yes I said dinner nothing like a bunch of folks sitting around having a farewell dinner.

I do ask that you give Lori a few extra bucks, at Hunts they are cash people and need the cash to keep things going.

Firewood, what? ??? ?? I spoke to the Lori and I agreed to pay upfront for the wood. Sure we may need to move it around but we should be warm.

I am also buying coffee the days of the rally. If you have not been there before she has a outdoor kitchen setup, she has a tip jar to cover the cost of coffee, paper plates, napkins and what not.......bring a coffee cup or use her disposable ones.

Do you have a question? Are you are having a problem? Just send me a PM and I will get you an answer, (INCYMI: I have a broken collar bone so a but of patience please, I am slow)

Guess I need to book vacation
While I really want to do this my brother wants to move his little 61’ boat from Milwaukee to NY through the Erie Canal. Hope they are not the same time.

Re: 2018 Super Tenere Rally

OK! My last rally was September 2016 at the Zion Ponderosa Campground, Toroweep, UT with Gunner & the guys from BC -- with lotsa RAIN! It's been a long time so gotta make this one; It's only 1400 or 1500 miles from Longmont CO to Tellico Plains-- "three easy days", as Gunner would have it -- (maybe more on an interesting route). Gonna put this in the plan -- seeya all in October!

Re: 2018 Super Tenere Rally

It's a solid 8-9hr ride from the coast of NC to Tellico but well worth it. I'm going to request the week off and try to make this Rally (my 1st). I know the NC roads (paved or gravel) and have ideas for some great day trips. October is usually peak leaf season so there may be increased traffic on the roads but it varies and there are many factors that can affect the max color and timing. Hope this all works out! and looking forward to meeting you folks. Here's a little sumthin' to keep the pump primed...

Looks like they only have 5 cabins that sleep 12 people and sold out already.
It actually sold out pretty quickly. I tried a while ago and they were gone.

Looks like I'll be figuring out where I put the camping gear when I moved into this house. Pretty sure it made it here.

I may need to do some clarifying here. I have all the cabins blocked off, they are not sold out. I am not sure how to handle them to be honest. I blocked them off so they would not go to non Tenere guys and gals.....

I am thinking that what I will do is announce a date, unblock them and let the guys fight over them. Unless I get a better suggestion.......Or I could book them for whoever.

Please see the first Post and tell us what each of you want to do. It'll help with cabins, tent space, and other plans.

Maybe the local Walmart can help with that Bob.
