Re: Latest addition to my Yamaha Garage

Nice shirt!! Available at Yamaha? The latest addition to my Yamaha garage is a TW 200; for the wife. I think it's where Teneres come from. :D Back in the day, my wife used to pilot the FJ1200. Now, she's almost afraid of bikes. Found an immaculate TW, showed it to her, got her to sit on it, and she fell in love with it. My sons rode it, and laughed the whole time. I'm over the load limit. I wish the Tenere had an equivalent set of tires; the tread wraps around the sidewall. ::025::

The title in no way is to suggest that I'm complaining.
Rather a statement of fact and the action taken to spend the money!
Have S10 (or any other bike for that matter!); Will farkle.

Update:
That being said, changing the Subject line -
From: 2017 ES | The Money Drain
To: 2017 ES | Have Bike; Will Farkle

To OP: If you don't mind; how much and where from did you get your wings? I priced some out and couldn't believe what they wanted for 2 pieces of plastic. It's one of the (very) few farkles I'm missing ... 8)

Ordered them from the dealer I bought the bike from. - Romney Cycles.
P No: 2BS-F83M0-V0-00
WIND DEFLECTORS ST $82 (after tax)

ebay options out there - but mainly from UK - long lead time and these are OEM - so pulled the trigger on these. Look good. Work better. :)

Upcoming $$ drains:

  • - AltRider Stainless Steel Black Headlight Protector
  • - Skid plate. With ACD now AWOL the only good front and back frame mounted skid plate would be Jaxon's Boulder Buster from RideOnADV.
  • - Panniers - Looking to the new Semi-Rigids from LoneRider - kinda one and done set?

The bike’s getting to be an Alt-Rider frequent flier. First the upper and lower Crash Guards and now the headlight guard. Stainless steel, laser cut grill design, with a quick pop-on pop-off design. The Guard sits, snugly held in place by Rubber Grommets, on Ball Studs.

The hardest part was installing the first grommet. Once that was the done the remaining three weren’t hard, using a blunt tool to jimmy the rubber into the hole. A little water helps it along.

What’s next ?

Update:
The original Headlight screws were already loose. Needed no effort at all to unscrew them! If the fingers could get at them, I wouldn’t have needed a screw driver.
