Okay thanks for your help.
I'll have a look at this tailbag.
I'm looking for options for a tail bag or tail box for my new 2020 Africa Twin DCT non-adventure.

(Following post is related to just a hobby. Not into all this video / blog etc to make money. Something to do. Something new to learn and hopefully look back on when I’m sitting on a beach in the later years!)

GoPro Audio Vlog Test
Till date, for the most part, all my GoPro videos have been without any commentary. By me, of course! I used the videos, edited the length, added some nice snappy background music and released them to the world for the few odd customary likes.
Towards the end of last year I decided to try and do a bit of vlogging. Adding some commentary while recording the ride.

This involved getting the bits and pieces of equipment and creating a setup on the helmet which doesn’t need too much work to set up before a ride and to take down after the ride. The biggest hassle was, and still is, trying to get the microphone inside the helmet situated in a wind turbulence free area. The Adventure helmet I use - the Klim Krios - is really not conducive to that. This is still a work in progress and going through the trials and errors process.

When listening to my voice playback, I really don’t like how it sounds overall. I tend to speak within myself and at times getting into a monotone rut. I need to work on this. Any tips on this will help me and the viewers do my videos a lot!

Thank you for watching and look forward to your comments.

When you can’t ride
You watch and create videos.
It’s been a rough start to 2021 all around. On the riding front, I’ve been itching to get out there. But work and weather just makes that 1st ride of 2021 harder to kick off. Good weather days - the few that we’ve had - get gorged by work. Weekends get engulfed in frigid northern temperatures.

Can’t wait to get riding on this little back road favorite.

New shoes for the #SuperTenere.

The tires Journey so far:
0mi - 600 miles:
Bridgestone BattleAxe Street tires. Stock tires with bike.

600mi to 9000miles:
Motoz Tractionator - 50/50 Off-road/street tires. I could have got a few miles more but erring on side of caution and Covid swapped back to the Bridgestone BattleAxes with a hiatus on off-road riding. This change was catalyzed by an off-road training weekend I had enrolled for taking place relatively closer to me, near Tampa, FL. (8400 miles)

9000mi - 14400miles:
Original stock Bridgestone BattleAxe. Again, I could have got a few hundred miles more, but the rear had a plug in it from a puncture and the front was about done also. The tire change also catalyzed by a group off-road ride which I wanted to ride. (5600 miles)

14400miles:
opted for the much acclaimed and positive reviewed Dunlop Mission TrailMax Tires. Let’s see how many miles they run. A harder walled, denser compound tires which is said to be smooth(er) when riding on asphalt. To be tested!

I have had them on my Tiger for 6,000 miles so far. They are not as smooth as the other tires you had, but they are more of a knobby, so expected.

I am finding out, that after a good amount of miles, the front tire feels like it wants to wash out more than the E-07's did. Still good tread on them, but several others are also talking about the same.

My friend, Huck and I rode the Cherohala Skyway last Saturday. Both of us on Yamaha SuperTenere 1200cc ADV bikes.

Perfect day out for a ride and the crisp cool temps towards the top of the Skyway. Put in a 300 mile round trip from Northern Atlanta. Up via Blairsville, GA and back down from Tellico Plains, through Blue Ridge, GA and backroads around Ballground, GA. A Tri-state ride. Started in GA, north into North Carolina, and then westwards crossing over into Tennessee on the Skyway and then back south into Georgia.

It’s been 2 years since Huck and I put in a ride together. A last minute planned route and the perfect weather made for a nice long day’s ride. Especially the crisp cool temps as we climbed up to 5400ft elevation.

Credit to the Skyway 'official' photographer. The clarity and resolution is pretty good. You can even see my eyes and that deep concentration and focus on the road ahead! 8D98F680-136E-42AA-9D05-982D618EE27B.jpeg
