"Need a little help from my friends”

I have a 2014 Super Tenere, non ES. Sunday while riding on a dusty gravel road I noted the ABS light came on and stayed on.
Stopping and restarting the bike, the ABS light went off but the TCS light and the engine light then came on and stayed on.
Later repeating a stop and restart the TCS light went off but the engine light stays on.
I now have fault codes “42” and “69”. The bike is working fine and I think this all may have been just sensor error.
I would like to delete the error codes and see what happens.
Unfortunately the service manual I have is for 2012-2013 Super Tenere’s.
I have used the search function and it seems these are common error codes.
I have tried a few attempts using some methods I found here and in the old manual and just can’t seem to get them deleted.
Hence my request for help from someone that has experience with a 2014 model.
Please message me and maybe we can walk through the process.

Thanks

Re: 2014 Super Tenere fault code deletion. Help!

Should be the same as the Gen1. Try pressing / holding the TCS and RESET buttons down to gain the code screen.

Re: 2014 Super Tenere fault code deletion. Help!

I was able to get to the code screens but unable to clear them?
I did manage to flood the bike as I did not disconnect the fuel pump, obviously thought I would not need to do that.
So no joy as yet.... :'(

If I remember you can scroll through the screen which gives you three choices per error.

I got it. ::012::

I will go through step by step with photos. This again is for the 2014 model.

1. First place the kill switch to stop.

3. While holding them down turn on the key and continue to hold them down until you get a flashing ECU. Then release both.

4. After releasing them both for a short while once again push and hold both buttons until you get a "DIAG" screen.

6. Now use the TCS or the Reset button to toggle to the next screens. The TCS counts upward from 1, the Reset counts down from the 80's.

7. Get to the "63" screen. At this point the fault/error codes will show up below the 63.

Then briefly flip the kill switch "on" then back "off". This should delete your fault codes..... :)

Now turn off the key. Don't forget the kill switch is off so it will need to be flipped to start the bike.

Thanks for the step by step. I pulled the codes and decided to take the bike to the dealership. One of the codes had to do with the rear electronic suspension. Well beyond my attention span.

Thread revive! This thread is referenced within alot of other threads, so My Question here.

I note the pictured direction above do not include any reference to disabling / disconnecting the fuel pump even tho the OP mentions flooding the motor a couple times.

The service manual mentions disconnecting the fuel pump power before proceeding.

My questions are: Do I really need to disconnect the fuel pump power? (PITA to get at that connector, prolly requires fuel tank liftup), and...
If I don't, will I really flood the motor?

I know I know, just do it. But, are the consequences severe, or just a few more starter turns next time I try to start it?
(Aside: Flooded motor recovery is, I think, hold WOT and turn motor. The, close throttle and turn motor. I think...)

If throttle held 100% it will not inject fuel while cranking.
SO, if flooded hold WOT and crank till it fires, once running immediately reduce throttle.
Should only take about 10sec crank.

remove the injection fuse, if you want to vent the fuel cylinders. The hand throttle, no matter how much you open it...it won't open until it starts...that's the system. during the start attempt…the throttles only open a little (the hand throttle does not control them). once it starts… the hand throttle controls the throttles through the electric motor
