Computer Doctor,
By any chance are you familiar with the forum Adventure Rider?
If not take a look, the website has a section called the Flea Market that has specific sections for selling bikes, parts and gear
and there is a quite large, captive audience already built in. It might be advantageous for you to list your CTX on there.
Do not be thrown off by the Adventure monicker as this website/forum covers all things motorcycle and the folks that love them.

I never understood why they replaced the ST with the CTX. It would have made more sense, to me, to make both of them. The ST1300 was gaining steam in replacing the Beemer as THE law enforcement motorcycle.

The CTX is comfortable :)

I have been a past member of 'Adventure rider,' since I bought my 1999 BMW R1100GS so that's about 20 years:)

I'm hoping to sell both bikes and just go to one, the Super Tenere:)

Just like Honda automobile, Honda motorcycle injects some unusual vehicles into their lineup every once in a while.

I get that, but don't throw the baby out with the bath water. There's plenty of guys on this forum that have/had the ST1300. It was direct competition for the FJR, Concours, and the RT. It was a great LE bike. I've never even seen a CTX on the street, or met anybody that has/had one. Not saying they shouldn't make it, but it shouldn't have been a replacement model.

I agree.
Most of the unusual vehicles Honda has thrown out both auto and bike were not my cup of tea especially the CTX, the Rune (a major whiskey tango foxtrot), the Valkyrie and the Fury.
I was quite fond of the Honda autos the S2000 and the Element.

Wow, Talk about hijacking a guys for sale add.

Ha! That happens all the time. But, he was in the wrong part of the forum, and was helped out as to where he needed to go for the best results. The rest of us just took the thread and ran.

Wrong part of the Forum??

OOOPS!! YOU were right, and I was wrong. I wasn't paying attention when I first clicked on it; thought it was in the general discussion. And then I saw MFP point you to the Flea Market of Adventure Rider. So yeah, we hi-jacked the s**t out of this thread.

" Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." TallPaul quote :)

We all know that with lots of beer consumed even 'Butt ugly,' becomes beautiful, especially with one eye, maybe even the Super Tenere :)

The riding position and other ergonomics are what sold me. At my age, comfort is priority ONE! A very comfortable seat and handlebars that fall naturally to the riders hands are perfect. The Flashdrive, MP3 inputs was neat for playing music once in a while. LED lights always draws comments.

I have always done my own maintenance and having the Valve covers right out in the open is also a priority, like my past Valkyrie, R series BMW's, and 3 past Goldwings.

Shaft drive is a huge plus as we all know chains are a pain.

Linked brakes and ABS is nice to have---on the street:)

The famously smooth V4, FI engine sourced from the ST1300 and tuned for low and midrange torque is unbelievable and the trans is buttery smooth.

Sam:)
