2013 oem heat controller and oxford grips?

I did some searching...it looks like the ohms are slight off...but any reason if the oem controller would work with just the grips?

Conversely, if i bough the whole oxford kit, could i just use the wiring for the oem power source rather then routing to the battery?
Although not sure, I doubt the first gen (definitely not the second gen) OEM controller would work. Most first gen's, including me, buy the whole kit and use the OEM power source with a switched relay between the two. That way, the grips will shut off with the key. Yes, the Oxfords will shut off automatically if you forget, but it is based on the voltage of your battery going down, and with the Tenere being so sensitive to voltage, not worth it.

Lot of times, OEM systems do not play well controlling after-market stuff directly.

I tested these wires:



The blue-black had switched 14.2 volts running through it and the other grounded it. Not sure what the other two wires are for from the oem heated grips.
