here;s how you do the UK gen 1 bike middle of this page where it says TIP
OK but it doesn,t say all gen 1 bikes it says UK bikesNot all Gen 1s will do this. I had a 2013 Gen 1 bought in Éire and a friend of mine had the same year Gen1 bought in N Irl. He could change from mph to kms/h but mine could not.
I think it's the other way around. Canadian models can't show MPH.From what I've read previously the immobiliser is very effective. It can't be bypassed, otherwise thieves would do just that. Sorry but I think you're going to have to spend some money on this one to get it running again. As dannyv says, you could get a USA ECU, but they can only display mph. There is no ability to switch over to kmh.
I must have misread that previously. Thanks for clarifying.I think it's the other way around. Canadian models can't show MPH.
What do you mean by Canada ficheUnless the reader ring isn't just generic and has to see a specific frequency. Still, having the original red key matched to the ecu, damn, that should work, I just don't know after seeing that Canadian parts fiche. It's a set.
For gen1 that is true iiuc.U.S. bikes do not have electronic protection. Maybe- a key cylinder/ switch cluster from a US model?
