. . . . but damn we didn't have the brakes back then to slow it down equally as well.
Maybe that's why I'm satisfied with the Tenere's system. My first "modern" brake system was the '04 RT1150 w/servos. One day, I got back on an old KZ1000P, and thought the brakes had failed. They hadn't. . . . I had just became used to a good system. When I switched from the RT to the Honda ST, I adjusted the lever until I got the same feel as the RT. Did the same with the Tenere from the ST. I absolutely love the split system; best of both worlds.

Hardly... I am just member of this cast of characters in the show. The show is all about a bunch of current, former, and future owners of Super Teneres who are literate to at least some minimal level and figured out how to log into a website. Where it goes from there is anyone's guess.

I always wondered what I looked like in my 'Stitch and bright yellow helmet from the back ....

Love all the pictures and stories from your four bikes. Hope to follow in some of those same wheel treads someday. My other half joked that the red S10 (she wants to call it Pumbaa from the Lion King) will know the way to Alaska better than we will. I'll do my best to keep the trip reports of the bike coming.

I'll be listing the Gen 1 DD talks about in the first post this weekend, if anyone knows anyone who's interested. I've already put a thousand miles on the bike since I picked her up on Saturday. Cyclops headlights installed tonight, Altrider bars go on this weekend, and a few other personnel touches here and there. Miles and smile just keep adding up.

1000 miles in a week...you're going to make me look bad. Actually glad to hear you're enjoying it. Really glad.

I understand the Pumba thing because it's red, but you'll be thinking Mufasa when you're riding it (yes, my daughter exposed me to that movie a few thousand times).

I do plan to check on your trip reports. I like to keep track of my previous bikes when possible. You've got my Alaska bike, so I'm really interested to see how it continues to enjoy life.

Hang around this forum. You'll learn a lot and meet some great people.
