Actually, "ours" and "ice" aren't usually in the same sentence. Unless we're talking about "our" "iced" tea. :D

I also have an '86 FJ that I bought new (older than you are:D) My youngest son has an FJR and my oldest has an R6. (we make him ride behind us with his Two Brothers exhaust) What brand are those crash bars? They look similar to my Mastechs but have that riser that mine doesn't.

    60th Anniversary Fuel Tank

I tried getting the dealer to switch out all 60th Anniversary stuff when I got mine; they said no. I wanted an Anniversary ES, but they sent all of them to Australia.

    Improving brake performance

That's because when you activate the back brake first, all you're getting is back brake. And 600+ pounds with just a single disc. When you apply the front brakes, you actually get the fronts and a little back. For slow tight maneuvers, (bar-lock turns) being able to have back brake only is...

    Improving brake performance

My heavily cupped front tire says she has plenty of braking power. And I, like fac191, use the heck out of her engine braking. My back pads went almost 25k miles.

Well. Yeah. I guess. If you like that kind of thing. :D:cool:

    Improving brake performance

I don't ride dirt. Don't even really know if I could. But I don't imagine that a dirt bike with sport bike brakes would be a good thing, traction being just a tad bit different and all. And yeah, her booty gets so light that it almost feels like the beginning of a nose wheelie with all of the...

    Fog light

I know a guy that mounted some extra lights to the lower fork tubes of an ST1300. He dropped the bike. One of the lights caught on a curb and snapped off the light. IIRC, he had used a caliper mounting hole/tab. So, when the light snapped, so did the caliper and the tab it was bolted to. Had...

    Improving brake performance

After switching pads on the ST1300 with near disastrous results, I don't switch anything from OE. I ride pretty aggressive and, so far, have not found the brakes to be lacking. I do know that pads and rotors MUST be compatible. (learned that with my truck) On paper, changing the brake lines to...
