I still have mine, but it's nowhere near perfect. Looks not bad from 50 feet, but numerous drops, spills, and one crash over 270,000 kms resulted in several dents, faded paint, broken plastic, and general used bike petina.
I would order the specific part for my model year, if the later part arrives instead I would use it.
I use only Yamaha filters, torqued to spec and replaced every 2nd oil change, without issues. I do remove and drain the filter before reuse.
