I've been riding since my DT250 @ age 16, took a few years off from 24 to 44 due to location and other factors. The last 18 years has been on my Vmax and just over 2 years on a'16 ES, still going strong at age 62!

I use a SAE connector for battery tender, air pump, and to power an two USB (3w & 5w) plug on dash. My GPS has a hardwired locking mount running off a Eastern Beaver 3 circuit fusebox, which also run the Rigid D2 driving lights through a switch on bars.

I have Bumont mounts but only run their soft luggage and have yet to do a hard tip over onto them, the 0 mph tip overs are handled well.;)

The current 6 hour time limit seems like a narrow time frame but understand based on reading the thread on post editing. I find it useful to be able to provide feedback using original posted material as context to give context to my future follow-up postings on the subject.

My Montana is mounted on the handlebars, between the clamps, on a short stemmed RAM mount.

I'm glad Yamaha kept the Super Tenere in production although they did drop the Vmax for 2021, after a 35 year run.

I too have a Givi top box (46L) although I haven't really run without it yet so not sure how it would compare to a square box. I have a set of Bumot soft bags and do not notice any change in wind resistance with or without them on.

As a gen1 Vmax owner there was enough trouble with the sidestand switch we didn't want to turn off the bike through it. On the Tenere most of the time I use the KS which sometimes has me walking back to turn off key, I can normally can leave the key in the bike in my area, even all day at work.
