New ECU (with new Keys / Ignition switch / Fuel Cap / Seat lock)

Has anyone commissioned a new ECU (or built their bike new from the crate) and if so, what is the process? Is there a red key black key order, for example? I assume there is a dealer manual with instructions for assembling and commissioning a new bike, but I can’t find this on the internet. Many...

    Gear Linkage

When tightening the gear lever linkage on the splined shaft, should it be nipped up so it doesn’t move side to side?

    Air Filter Replacement

How do you remove the rubber cap in the top of the airbox cover before removing the screws and lid (as instructed in the service manual)? I think I’ve reached the age where I shouldn’t go near mechanical stuff! Any advice gratefully received….

    LH Handlebar Switch

The dowel looks a bit worn / short as...

What is the clutch lever switch for?

This may be a silly question, but does anyone know what the clutch switch actually does? Many thanks!

    2017 vs 2014

Just swapped my 2014 for a 2017 and the new one pops and bangs on the overrun much more than the old one did. Does anyone know if Yamaha have introduced more secondary air induction and/or changed the engine mapping, for Euro 4, perhaps? Or it could just be my imagination or the long term fuel...

    XT1200Z UK Price Drop

I see that Yamaha have dropped the UK price of the 2015 XT1200Z to £10,999 (from £11,999 for the 2014). Sod's law eh.....

    Help! Cowling B!

Hi everyone! Newby here! I picked up my new XTZ yesterday, having traded in a pretty wonderful and utterly reliable Aprilia Caponord I'd owned for 9 years. Exploring the owners manual, I tried to remove cowling B (the one covering the fuses above the battery / toolkit cowling). I removed the...
