Talk me down off the ledge! (Triumph 1200XE Scrambler)

Just sold my S10 after 10 years. Anvil like reliability and an honest reliable machine. Fancied something lighter and a little more nimble so got an Intrerceptor which will be lightly scramblerised.

    Thank You and Good Night

Well after a wonderful 10 yeart with the XT, I have exchenged the bike for something newer, smaller and slightly esoteric. The Yamaha has been a great bike and for many years was my only mode of transport and as such did that remarkably well. Now, I mainly need a bike for fun and the occaisonal...

Most compact thing to heat a cup of soup or coffee?

A friend uses thermite, but its not totally practical. These military gel alcohol stoves are compact and pretty decent. Nothing to go wrong as long as you have a lighter. https://www.mudandroutes.com/m1-swiss-solid-fuel-gel-camping-stove-review/

Concern about weight of Givi Outback Trekker top box

This is what I did with mine. The rubber will last a couple of years or so before it becomes too compressed and the rattles return. Just pull it off and replace. Cheap and easy fix.

They said it wasnt releated to any of the parts swapped during the recall. They also checked wiring and fuses while they were there, there were all correct. As the recall was performed correctly, its "outside their remit" to find the issue, but they strongly suspect its another part of the...

Safety recall notice received - Front brake switch

Had the recall done today. Cruise control still doesnt work though. It switches on, but doesnt activate. Will have to take it back at some point for a more indepth look. Probably a strip and clean of the switch mechanism, although the brake lights work and all the fuses are intact.
