Just hit 30k. What’s next maintenance?

Also, every 6 months or so, lube the shifter pedal linkage. Most folks seem to use grease after disassembly, but I just squirt some dupont chain lube that I have around on the linkage points, that works for me. If you don't lube, you will notice that the pedal will stick and not return to...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Black holes are found two places in the universe; outerspace, and the inner bowels of motorcycles. It’s amazing how the odd fastener can disappear into a bike never to be seen again…

    Super Tenere Under Powered?

Well said. I'm on my 9th year of S10 ownership with 3 Super Teneres, and never found any of them to be underpowered. I've owned a lot of other bikes over the years, primarily sport and sport touring bikes including a current FJR. The S10 has been called slow, agricultural, the Toyota Corolla of...

where did you TAKE your Tenere today?

The ‘18 blue is nice, just wished that the side cowlings in front of the tank were all blue also, instead of matte black with blue accents. I do like my black forks on my ‘18, never did like gold fork tubes.

    Yearly miles

Where you live and your riding style preference obviously makes a significant difference in the mileage that you accumulate along with the time you devote to it. If I lived in a mountain environment I'd put on less mileage in a given amount of time. Where I live, spaces are wide open, and I...

    $800 car road trip?!??

Life is short and uncertain even free of covid. Time spent with your children is precious. Make the most of it when you can. Take sensible precautions to keep you and others safe, but keep living life. There's not much difference from covid killing you or robbing you of life while you still...

    Heidenau tires for the S10

My local dealer has had the K 76's in stock for a good while. I usually run an 80/20 type tire, since my use is touring with some forest road exploration. No hard core offroading. I seldom get more than 6,000 miles on a rear tire. I've had Bridgestones, Metzelers, Dunlops, Shinko 705's, etc...

The blue accents look great. Did you buy the blue wheels, or have your stock black rims powdercoated?

All things considered, should I be riding?

I respect your opinion, but if carried to that extreme, walking in your yard, or definitely going to the store, etc, would place you at severe risk. Our locality allows outdoor activities as long as social distancing is observed and considers them to be an essential activity. Remaining healthy...

He is not going to spread it if he maintains distance and hand hygeine. The virus cannot fly through the air and catch you in the air at 70 mph. A little common sense IS in order.

Life! (corona virus, non informative, non hysterical post)

It is tempting in times like these, with fear of the unknown, to give in to a degree of panic, and to assume the worst in regards to potential outcomes. As a physician, (Emergency Medicine), I have had a fascination with the history of my profession, and have studied past disease outbreaks, etc...
