    New Guy from Wisconsin

Welcome from Cedar Grove, Wisconsin. I like your recent bike choices as I have a FJR along the Super Tenere. I traded a DR650 in on the Super Tenere. So enjoy the Super Tenere on these beautiful Wisconsin roads

Later clutch basket, does it really make a difference?

I had the new clutch installed on my 2013 back in the fall of 2014. It was a great improvement, well worth the cost.

    Leather gloves

Magic, enjoy the Darien jacket and pants and the new gloves. I have used the Darien pants and jacket for 3 years now and also the gloves you mention from Aerostich. They have been the best gear I've used, the Darien pants and jacket being waterproof, comfortable and durable. The roper gloves...

Siblings: Does your S10 have a lil' brother?

My Super Tenere shares the garage with a 2001 Honda VFR 800, a 1917 Ford Model T touring car, and a 2016 FJR 1300ES when it arrives

    Whose got an iron derriere?

My longest ride on the S10 was pretty simple, 1056 miles in 17 hours, taking I-94 and I-90 across Wisconsin and Minnesota and back last July. It was a simple, out and back, nice ride. My 2013 S10 has the stock seat and the Madstad bracket with the Yamaha touring screen. An Excell...

    Hello from Michigan!

Hello, Matt. Enjoy your new ride. I agree on holding off winter as long as it can. So far, it's been good riding most every day here in southern Wisconsin, so let's hope you have the same in southern Michigan. Enjoy the new bike.

    Aerostich AD-1 vs Darien pants

I have had the Darien pants for almost three years now and use them with Sidi All Road boots. They fit very well with the boots. I have found them to be comfortable after the first weeks of stiffness is worked out. Soon enough, they bend easily and fit well. I have found them waterproof...

    aerostich-wind blocker

I also have had the Darien jacket and the wind blocker for three years now and they are a great combination for the cold Wisconsin weather. The jacket without the windblocker is fine for our summers. The Aerostich gear--Darien jacket and pants, electric vest, and windblocker liners-- all have...

Trying to figure out my wind noise issue

I also have a Madstad bracket along with the Yamaha touring shield and wind deflectors. These along with foam earplugs and an Arai RX-Q helmet give a smooth, quiet ride.

    Avocations other than the motorcycle

Besides riding my Super Tenere and VRF 800, I run marathons, doing 26 marathons in the last 12 years. Also I drive and maintain a 1917 Ford Model T touring car that I restored in 1990.

    Forget the after X-Mas sales...

A cold day today in Wisconsin, but still a good day to ride. Sunny and 6 degrees this morning and by afternoon, it had warmed up to 13 degrees. It's a 60 mile roundtrip to work and the Super Tenere ran great every mile. Heated grips and an electric vest make all the difference.

    Heated Gear Just Rocks!

I've had a Kanetsu electric vest from Aerostich for several years. It's been simple, reliable and comfortable. With a Darien jacket and pants and a wool sweater, the vest makes all the difference.

How Long Does it Take for the Dealer to Get Working On Your Bike?

My Yamaha dealer is like many noted here, getting work done in a timely way. Port Washington Yamaha at Port Washington, Wisconsin, does a good job of getting parts and work done when promised. When a delay in getting a part and having it installed left my Super Tenere in the shop for an extra...

How old are you Super Ten rider?

    58. The Super Tenere fits me and my kind of riding better than any bike I've had. My Honda VFR 800 is still a great bike, but the Super Tenere is getting almost all my miles now

How many have received the new Clutch basket and what do you think?

Autoteach has a good idea about filming the difference between his bike and my stock 2013. It would be interesting to see and share the change. Maybe we can get together on this next week.
