    SOLD

Maybe. What are the specs? I literally placed my order for a new pair of Happt Trail panniers and rack about 3 weeks ago (awaiting delivery), but I have a friend who might be interested as well.

Rear Frame Part Number Difference - ES vs. Non-ES

Oh MAN! Good call! Pity the seller doesn't ship to the US. I'll contact the seller and see if an exception can be made. Thank you so much!

Rear Frame Part Number Difference - ES vs. Non-ES

This was actually one I was looking at, however it doesn't denote the ES model, and doesn't provide the part number, and unfortunately I do not think the regular S10 non-es rear frame will work with the ES model due to the ES model's need for clearance with the electronic suspension pumps...

Rear Frame Part Number Difference - ES vs. Non-ES

I think you're right on the money. While I'm currently unable to upload a picture, there are a lot more mounting points for the electronic suspension adjustments, so I suspect you've hit the nail on the head. It is a shame though. I was very much hoping to purchase the used rear frame from...

Rear Frame Part Number Difference - ES vs. Non-ES

I'm honestly not sure. I was hoping someone on this forum would be able to tell me more reliably. I don't have a non-ES to compare it to, and the diagrams aren't much help since they don't go into anything quite that specific. Best I can tell, the drawings are rather generic.

Rear Frame Part Number Difference - ES vs. Non-ES

I'm recently trying to piece my 2014 S10 ES back together after having gotten clipped by a 4Runner going about 65 MPH. My panniers and rack were destroyed, but otherwise the bike was rideable. The only other issue is that the rear subframe is bent and crooked. I found an ebay listing for the...

Their products are pricey, but with a lifetime warranty I imagine they are totally worth it if you're serious about winter riding. Definitely something I'll keep in mind. Thank you!

Prospective S10 owner in Louisville, KY

Now THAT'S a good idea! So the dashboard isn't locked down on the standard model, allowing you to add and control ES options after-the-fact? That's an incredibly generous thing of Yamaha to do! I had no idea! Thanks!

Prospective S10 owner in Louisville, KY

Much too cold for my blood. Sounds like heated grips are definitely something I'm going to have to try. I don't really do two-up very often (wife doesn't like riding anymore, and the kids are much too young), but when I go on my cross-country camping trips I'm usually hauling about 200 pounds...

Prospective S10 owner in Louisville, KY

Here in Kentucky it only gets below freezing in the true winter months. Occasionally it'll fall below 40 in late Autumn, but for the most part it stays above freezing outside of December, January, and February. It sounds like something that'll definitely make my commute more comfortable...

Fortunately I don't have that problem (yet). I also am a fellow Tacoma owner. You have good taste, my friend!

Prospective S10 owner in Louisville, KY

It sounds like a quality-of-life improvement that, once you get it, you damn near can't live without it. I'm always looking for added extras that make riding more convenient and pleasant. The more comfortable I am, the fewer excuses I have to take the truck.

Prospective S10 owner in Louisville, KY

The engine upgrades and all of the added extras are the primary reasons I'm looking for a Gen 2, but it's nice to know that the ES model benefits really are worth considering. It sounds like that even if I don't get an ES model, aftermarket heated grips are in my future (at the very least).

I’ve never actually used heated grips before. Are they really that useless? That’s discouraging. I was really looking forward to some easy winter riding.

Prospective S10 owner in Louisville, KY

Two-up riding isn't really much a concern for me. My wife doesn't like to ride, and my kids are much too small. I pretty much just commute and take one or two long trips each year. However, if I can find an ES model at the right price, I'll definitely jump on it. I'm simply not going to...

Prospective S10 owner in Louisville, KY

I'm keeping my eyes peeled. I damn near pulled the trigger on a 2015 S10 two months ago, but didn't want to finance it. Saving up so I can provide cash-in-hand this go around. The waiting is killing me.
